hopefully it heats back up on good info and not bad, i'm a bit burned out on the bad news and constant pilot induced bad news ;)
Now granted we are still looking at a -8% YOY on 2008 so we will have a little ways to go to see that, but looking at their 3Q and 4Q 2009 forecasts that are now public we have seen for the 3Q a yield increase from 20%+ decrease to 11-14%. That is a good step in the correct direction. They are looking at a break even margin. That means no loss per say. Those are really good indicators. I liked what I read today. We are not out of the woods yet, but at least it is getting brighter. |

Things are swinging to the better, & that's good news for all of us. The water has stopped rising, it appears it may be even be starting to drop. Let's hope we beat the Company's and investor's expectations.

Hey guys,
Can we cover the loss of the DC9-30/40's with some MD90's & increased utilization of 757's? I guess we could, it just seems hard to believe that the DC9-30/40's will be gone by 2011. That would make the DC9 fleet a very small # of pilots. |

I think that we will seats to cover the seats we will lose when the 9 retires. They may not be direct replacements but they will be seats attached to jobs and paychecks.

Maybe the one tidbit is the fact that they are expecting to pay 200 million on DB(Defined Benefit Pension) for the year.
