Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
So after 20 years of losing BILLIONS of dollars, and every major legacy going bankrupt, the legacies have -finally- figured out how to make money, he wants to let foreigners fly the US Domestic market, so he can keep paying $200 for a ticket to the west coast.
He wants it all, he wants it now, but he doesn't want to PAY for it.

I think we should allow foreigners (in China and India) to write for USA Today! We could get a better newspaper, for less, not that I've ever paid for a USA Today in the first place!

I am still amazed that people I know complain about the price of an airline ticket to places when the ticket costs less than it would cost for them to drive -- fuel expenses alone, it's not even including the price of renting a car!

Come on people. $350 for a round trip ticket to Miami from Chicago is pretty cheap.

BRING IT ON, FTB!

Just to remind you that this happened:

Go Noles!!

The cynical me says that the spreadsheet for potential revenue on those added seats is a mathmatical "certainty", while cancelling a flight because of degraded rest facility is only a "soft theoretical" possibility.
You and I know that all it takes is one or two diverts or canx due to FDP to zero out whatever possible revenue they might have gotten out of those seats.
If you look at the tables, you essentially lose an hour of FDP for going down one Class of facility. Even if you have to MEL whatever you have, you probably can go...but it gets tighter on the time. (Check those snaps and curtains!)
There's a new APB that outlines all the various Rest Facilities by tail number...and the backup plan (ie what biz class seat if the condo is out).
A very interesting note 1 is that on some planes, the dedicated Flight Attendant Rest facility has been approved by the FAA to act as a Class 2...and can be used to maintain operation integrity, with VP approval. Would love to see that scenario play out.
I think the ship has sailed on the facilities we lost (330), and that sucks....but a strong case could be made for keeping what we got.
I know I have a hard time sleeping on the 767 and the 757 is down right ridiculous.

GSWC are so far down the assignment tree, they're very rare. Take a look at your contract before you make such bold statements

Incidentally, after rerouting me into a 12 hour duty day on day 5 of a 4 day trip, does the company really think I'm going to fall over myself to help them out when they refused to hire?

Spoke with an DALPA scheduling guy and it seems some reserve pilots have acknowledged a trip less then 10 hrs prior and then were given an APD by the company. He says that DALPA investigated and the APD was removed later. Not sure on the accuracy but it does sound like DALPA has our back on those.
Good luck, FTB & 80!
It's hard for me to watch a football game and not root for one team, or another, so here goes:
I have to root for FSU.
If for no other reason than the guy at my wife's Christmas party who told me that Michael Jordan wasn't that good of a basketball player and faked the flu in Game 6 of the NBA Finals because he bet on the game and wanted to increase the spread, went to Auburn.
Go FSU!
Sometimes that's all it takes.
