Good luck, FTB & 80!
It's hard for me to watch a football game and not root for one team, or another, so here goes:
I have to root for FSU.
If for no other reason than the guy at my wife's Christmas party who told me that Michael Jordan wasn't that good of a basketball player and faked the flu in Game 6 of the NBA Finals because he bet on the game and wanted to increase the spread, went to Auburn.
Go FSU!
Sometimes that's all it takes.

That he did! It was a really nice celebration, and a decidedly lower alcohol content than other birthday parties we've had in the house
It's hilarious (but also very time consuming) having a toddler around.. it's a like a constantly drunk little person stumbling around getting into stuff.
BEHOLD THE SEMINOLE DEFENSE! (for now... this is gonna be a close one)

Spoke with an DALPA scheduling guy and it seems some reserve pilots have acknowledged a trip less then 10 hrs prior and then were given an APD by the company. He says that DALPA investigated and the APD was removed later. Not sure on the accuracy but it does sound like DALPA has our back on those.
There's lots of valid reasons to ys on reserve. If you're a commuter and don't want to have to sit short call in a hotel or crash pad. I ys if I know I'm going to get a trip to pick the better one out of opentime, to put yourself over guarantee, or sometimes you can get an extra day off by ys a 3 day or a 4 day when you have 4 or 5 days availability. You gotta make the best out of reserve and don't understand why people make a big deal out of yellow slipping....

I also heard from a very good source that we are asking for door pay and an increase in ADG. Since I heard this I think its important for every pilot to back ALPA on this one. DO NOT acknowledge a trip until 3 hours prior and then ask for your FAR 117 mandated rest. That is how we can get some much needed leverage back

He wants Cabotage, here it comes.
What the writer fails to admit is, the reason the US Legacy service has been in a race to the bottom for the past 20 years is, guys like HIM don't want to pay for better service. He also fails to mention that the number one expense for any airline operating large jets is, FUEL. Look at what a gallon of Jet A costs today, vs. 20+ years ago, yet his ticket price is nearly identical to what it was 20 years ago.
Is there ANYTHING else in our economy that you can buy for the same price you paid 20 years ago?
He does mention, several times, that allowing foreign carriers to fly our domestic routes would lead to "...better service, at lower ticket prices."
So after 20 years of losing BILLIONS of dollars, and every major legacy going bankrupt, the legacies have -finally- figured out how to make money, he wants to let foreigners fly the US Domestic market, so he can keep paying $200 for a ticket to the west coast.
He wants it all, he wants it now, but he doesn't want to PAY for it.
I think we should allow foreigners (in China and India) to write for USA Today! We could get a better newspaper, for less, not that I've ever paid for a USA Today in the first place!
