I had to chuckle--that video kind of reminded me of some one sided presentations we've had in recent memory. That captain needs to show me how she fit her roller bag into that surface tablet. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who couldn't see their instruments, radios, or throttles because they had to have the chart out at maximum size. Yes, nit-picky, but that's what you get for putting forward your silly version.

The plan when we signed the current contract had us increasing the fleet to 796 aircraft or a gain of 80 or so airframes net. It now looks like we will have 240 additional airframes and only 75 or so retirements. That is a nice change in the right direction.

They are posting a bid for 50 additional FO's in early Feb. There will be little or no displacements in the category in the future. Pilots will however not be replaced as they bid off. This has been known for at least 3 years. The good news is that they are retiring the aircraft slower then originally planned and the retirements of the modified aircraft will not be until after 2020. Before the mods were announced they were going to keep retiring 757's every year. Overall the fleet changes announced are great news.

Any word or idea of where the 50 76 FO bids will be based?
I'm thinking NYC and ATL, but that's just a guess.

I wouldn't have voted for this if I could see the future. I wouldn't be at Delta, if I knew the future, except maybe to own it and give you humility lessons. My backpack would be made by Louis Vuitton, and Scambo would have to carry it.
Any one know if there is a place to view your total flight duty period hours on icrew yet? Or if they plan to make that information available to us?
Can you Minnesota 10,000 lakes guys explain what is going on here? :

The cost of the trade is being determined in 2014, and every year thereafter, based on 2013 returns and the returns thereafter. The analysis had to be done in early 2012, right?
