12-31-13 Paycheck (FLT PAY + FLTADV)*.083

Has the 8.3% been announced somewhere, or is that just someone's educated guess?

Good point PG. AFAIK, it's only a guess at this point in time. Here's a clip from the latest C66 update:

Profit sharing will be in the Feb. 14 paychecks: This from Kevin Powell: Here’s how the profit-sharing math works. It would be 10% of the first $2.5B, and 20% for anything above that. So, if Delta has $3.0B of PTIX in 2013, then the profit-sharing calculation would be: $2.5B x 10% plus $0.5B x 20% = $250M + $100M = $350M. As a rough estimate, we should each see about 8% (maybe a bit more) of 2013 earnings as a profit-sharing payout, with those earnings defined as the sum of your year total FLT PAY and FLT ADV off your 12/31/13 check. Jan. 22 is the deadline to elect to have some/all of it put in your 401(k).

Yea, that looks fun, but what they don't tell you is that the clip was shot in June.

That's because DAL/NWA had similar career expectations. If you merger with say Alaska, it will come unglued. We had a pretty smooth merger between XJ and 9E, with Colgan, not so much....

Explain SWA/AT then....

Not ALPA/ALPA. You can bend the acquired carrier over if you're an independent union.

ALPA to ALPA doesn't automatically mean a full relative windfall for any group. ALPA to ALPA can have massive fences, ratios and at least partial staples. And that's even assuming its considered a merger to begin with.

Or you can be Alpa/Alpa, agree to binding arbitration, not like the results, vote Alpa out, well you know the rest.

I recommend getting the manual. The old version had decision trees that were simple and to the point. The new Boeing version redacts the profanity and then successfully hides any important information. Still get it.
