Funny thing is we have done this on quite a few routes (DAB,TLH to name a few) until Airtran pulls out and then then we pull out the increased mainline service, or pull out mainline altogether.
In effect it would be a little like peeing in the pool to drive off the other swimmers. When they leave, you stop. |
ACL More and more passenger complaints ref JFK what is going on with upgrade or redo or T2/3 or the AA terminal? Logistically the place is a mess. We are starting to run good passengers away and by good I mean J class passengers

Apparently AAI is only going to be able to haul like 90 pax in the 737 out of EYW from what I'm hearing.
I wonder what our perf engineering is going to look like. |
Well, with 4801 Feet of runway and close-in obstacles, you can't exactly takeoff heavy.
KEY WEST INTL DEPARTURE PROCEDURE: Rwys 9, 27, climb on a heading between 087° clockwise to 033° from departure end of runway to avoid R-2916 and unmarked tethered baloon up to 14000 MSL. NOTE: Rwy 9, rod on antenna, dome on building, poles, and numerous trees beginning 38' from departure end of runway, 199' right of centerline, up to 75' AGL/82' MSL. Obstruction light on building, pole, and numerous trees beginning 4' from departure end of runway, 220' left of centerline, up to 38' AGL/45' MSL. Rwy 27, pole and numerous trees beginning 27' from departure end of runway, 116' right of centerline, up to 83' AGL/90' MSL. Numerous bushes and trees beginning 202' from departure end of runway, 78' left of centerline, up to 37' AGL/44' MSL. |
Guys
Check out our stock today. Things are looking up. |

What's confusing you about that? If we wanted to increase survice in the first place, we would have done so. So the "reduced" number is actually what we want, with higher yields. AAI wants market share. They poach. We react. We add more seat, dilute yields, and compete harder to try to drive them off. They stop, we pull back.

Yep, Tit for Tat with AAI.
It's raining. I wonder if Robert Ballard could find my plane. |

I can't imagine what high rollers say of JFK. I think we need to get someone in that can put some lipstick on that pig while Delta figures out it's next best move. |
