Mostly wrong. Flightaware says it is diverting to SLC, but some easy investigation with tools we all have access to reveals a different reason. I can't post it here because it's Delta's information.

It did divert to MSP. Check out MSP Fox 9 website for details.

Seattle Seahawks plane makes unexpected landing in Minneapolis - KMSP-TV

Yep.. the crew dutied on at 0600 in ATL and flew the plane (ship 128) up there. They spent 3:19 on the ground in the turn, then 2 hours deicing and subsequently ran out of time. MSP was as far as they could get (hub wise) with their allowable duty day.

They turned the plane in 38 minutes in MSP... not bad!

Interesting. We had another charter flight from EWR-SEA divert into SLC for a different reason.

Well the first mistake was going out of EWR.

If it was a SEA crew, they would have got them home. Power of the 12th man :D

Can't we run charters under Part 135?

Was flying during the game. Everybody kept us to date except for Denver Center, who barely bothered to work our flight at all.

Just watched the HT show on Youtube. The stage performance was an astonishing production. Getting the sound, lights, pyro and camera angles coordinated live was very good work. As for the people on stage, no real need for them to be anything other than chorus line dancers. Not taking anythng away from them, it is a different skill set.

What the Red Hots did, back when they did it live, was probably impossible to pull off without a little neurological enhancement. It is claimed Mike Balzary would play so aggressively that assistants were super gluing his skin back around bone between songs. However he does his craft, it is an amazing spectacle.

Well that and taxi time... we're talking about EWR here. Either you get right out or you sit for hours in line.

It's on the front page of Deltanet, FYI.
