Boeing Said to Seek Buyers for $1.1 Billion of Early 787s - Bloomberg

Hmmm? Maybe Scambo was on to something and Delta, maybe at the least, researched the idea.

Was he the former 88 guy who did this?

I was riding in the back of an 88 not long ago headed from Terminal A to 26L in ATL and I swear the FO broke a record with his long PA. It began around Terminal B and ended at the TOC.

It was perfectly canned and an overly rehearsed PA about breast cancer awareness month, "we're tickled pink that you chose to fly with us during breast cancer awareness month" and "Captain flew..." and "I flew..."

That was in the Flight Globel blog...

Bloombert: Delta interested in unwanted 787s for half price to replace aging 767 fleet

Did he make a PA while taxiing the aircraft:eek:? Never understood how anyone could even remotely think that was a smart thing to do.

FWIW, any PA that is not verbatim out of the FOM, as in, "Flight Attendants please prepare the cabin for departure," while the aircraft is moving on the surface is a violation of sterile cockpit.

Another good question is, does the PBGC?

That is an OUTSTANDING question.

I wonder if we can find out somehow?
There's a lot of money at stake for many of us deadzoners.

Good TOTD story a friend just told me about....

He was deadheading yesterday (on DAL) and the PIC made the welcome aboard PA stating that he was a retired F16 pilot and the copilot was a C130 pilot so nobody should have any concerns as they are in excellent hands. LMFAO

Let me guess, long sleeves?
