American Airlines To Phase Out Complimentary Cabin Pressurization |

All kidding aside, if the pax are passed out from hypoxia, you wouldn't have to serve them and could save money that way.

And no galleys required. And then you won't need restrooms, you can get rid of them. Saving money all over this place! :D

the airplanes would last longer if we didnt have to pressurize them.

Imagine the money we could save if we didn't have to carry the pax!

You are completely correct. That has to be one of the lesser understood potential gotchas. Seriously abused around Delta

That's not quite correct. You can add to it, say... "We are number 4 for departure..." or something similar, but don't make it a diatribe. Our books aren't SOPA/SMAC and some things are left gray for your protection. Don't try to make the that!

screw that, how about if we didn't even operate any planes.

But we had a law passed requiring people purchase tickets anyways.

Call it a tax.

I've flown with this tool. He says that the F.O. is from a civilian background but don't worry Delta HR does an extremely good job in pilot selection and only hires the best civilian pilots. Not kidding one bit.

We nearly had to fill out 3 ASAPS in 3 days because of this guy. I was tempted on the last one to let it go and fill it out, but decided to catch him a 3rd time.

Can you explain that last line? You don't work as a crew on a flight?

I flew for a regional and also in the military. My takeaway is that it is surprising how relatively few a-holes I've encountered in aviation. Those few came from varied backgrounds.
