The furloughs were 1310 pilots from 11/99 thru TK in 2001.

No. I never answered my phone. I refused to fly GS trips or IA trips because I already flew so much on reserve. Not to mention 99% of the time it was offered to me at departure time, & I was over 800 miles away from base. I was flown involuntarily past the ALV on reserve consistently that summer. My RAW score was generally 130-160+.

did you complain about it to dalpa?

I knew the PAC favored lefties before I signed up. Probably why I stayed on the sidelines so long.
It really sticks in my craw that my money's going to those clowns.
But it's the only way we can exert influence.

Non rev question: What status does DCI travel as on Delta? Specifically OO (Skywest?) and RP (?) -- Do these guys travel S3C on us, the same as we do on them? Or are they S3B, same as our parents?

I'm trying to figure how far down the list my 'rents are and finding a zillion 00 "above" them... really?

Us Connection guys travel S3C on you guys so if your parents are S3Bs they will all get on before any connection carrier folk. Retired travelers even have a higher priority than connection travelers.

Don't forget losing 3 days off in the summer months and raising the top of the window to 91:30 for line holders. This was a really big deal for line holders and all anybody talks about is ALV+15. Both were bad and hugely efficient for the company!

My first 23 years here required a 747 rumor once or twice a year (remember Carls recent 747 - take it to the bank - rumor?) Perhaps this 787 rumor signals a Children of the Magenta paradigm shift. Like going from Convairs to DC9s, we may be entering a new epoch. I'm marking this day in my journal/memories scrapbook so I remember where I was when I heard the first 787 rumor from an "impeccable source."

I bet that it would be pretty hard to get to ALV+15 with FAR 117.. but that's just a guess.

Correct but specifically:

The FM-1 Furloughs were TK up to the March 02, 2000 new hire class. This round of furloughs ended with the 31 January 2003 furloughs. The shortest furlough in this group was recalled in July 2004. In total 18 months off but 2 months furlough pay.

The FM-2 Furloughs were all senior to the March 02, 2000 new hire class (some may have actually been in that class) who were furloughed 2 months later in March 2003 and shortly recalled after the arbitrator ruled in our favor that the second furlough was not a FM type of event. All of these guys got full back pay and had various amounts of time off.
