Where are the pilots going to come from?

Victimized? No one who will fly to ALV+15 is being "victimized." That's what a reserve is paid to do. Under the old contract I was consistently flown over the ALV in the busy months. The summer of 2010 was a busy one for NB FOs. Once again, how many times have you flown to ALV+15? How many times under the old contract did you actually get within 2 hours of the ALV and get released? Because it was maybe once for me. In 4 years of reserve.

You consistently flew beyond the ALV in 2010?

I guess that works.

Maybe a 5 day differences course. If you're from the MD88, 7 days.

Is the 'next edition' of the 787 out yet?

I know Richard pushed off the 787's NW had on order, until 2020, but those were the first edition jets with all the problems, the ones Richard said of; We don't want the first edition of anything...

So...are the longer 787's already flying and being delivered? Or has Richard changed his mind on the First Edition 787's?

Oh, and what about the 787 Fence? Remember, those 787's that NW had on order were also fenced, and the 5yr. Fence doesn't come down until Jan. 1, 2015, so if indeed there are 787's delivered to Delta prior to that, my guess is they will be fenced for the NW pilots only.

FNWA guys can have it. I don't think I can deliver a good PA halfway across the pond during a thermal runaway.."folks, please disregard the orange glow just aft of the wing root, we're venting the uncontrollable battery fire to the atmosphere?!"

DAL to announce a 50 aircraft 787 order with delivery to begin late this year.

And a 50 wide body RFP to Airbus and Boeing.

It's a rumor but the source is impeccable.

Nice rumor, I like, but 787's not going to happen this year... Hope I'm wrong

IDK. Might be a quick way to 'spin up'.

APA has stated that n/b order to delivery is approx. 12-13 months, w/b 17-18 months. Not sure if Boeing has an 'white tail' slots available from some of their cancellations which would reduce the lag time.

In the summer. Yes. My phone rang multiple times a day on every day off with IA and GS opportunities. Reserve on the 320 was rough then.

Correct. You gotta have Section 6 negotiations when there's an aircraft order :)

Or is it section 8? I get confused.
