Where's did your shot at the fNWA guys go?

Really? The vast majority of 737 A's in ATL and NYC were fine, when I was on it. The % of certifiable tools in ATL was a low number, maybe around 8-10%, but the % of tool-adjacent Captains was maybe another 8-10%. These were the guys forcing themselves to act like human beings, but you could tell it was a hell of a personal struggle. One angry passenger, one picture of a cat, one clap of thunder, and it was like watching the hulk get angry, except tools usually don't go white to green, more like yellow, to pink, to red.

By comparison, those % were maybe 5% and 3%, respectively, in NYC.

I'm speaking from memory. I'd have to consult my notes for more precise numbers. As a very junior ATL 73N F/O on reserve, I was flying with the same 20% a lot. My own personal hell, it was.

Are you laying over somewhere with complimentary piña coladas?

I wish, he was griping about fnwa guys and the merger, then edited it. JUst giving him $j&t. Something about the fNWA guys on the 73A in ATL. Seeing as, at a minimum, they are on year 19, I think they are entitled to complain a bit about stuff, as are most hired after 1990.

Just an observation that the new Captains complain about getting screwed in the merger, while they bid up to 73A.

Is that a slam, or just an observation? They moved up, the other side moved down. That was the intent of the award and capacity reductions forced the matter.

I pulled the post because I really like a couple of the new Captains and it is not TO TD material. They just haven't realized what the other side's perspective was. In my group the merger was a 5 year set back. Then again Delta might have gone bankrupt without the merger, who knows? I don't.

Considering that group was very close to holding 320A and were probably 747/330B, not sure how you think they are "moving up" at someone else's expense 5 years post merger, but you are entitled to your own opinion.

Any Windows 8 experts able to help with a question? My MacBook finally 'let go of the rope'. In order to continue uninterrupted with my military PME, I purchased a Dell (Windows 8) laptop to get me through until the next Apple announcement.

Anyway, when I select the "email app" tile, it brings me to my gmail/yahoo accounts, but hasn't allowed my contacts to be synced to the tile (accessed) page. When I access my email via the desktop internet explorer icon, I have full functionality of each email, but again, would like to access the same functionality via the tile/app, on the windows 8 screen.

Thanks for any advice,

GJ

Yep. There were 4 or 5 guys on that plane that everyone avoided (avoids) like the plague. Made for a miserable trip, and probably why I am where I am today. I told one LCA wannabe the rest of the legs were his after day 1. This was after he poked his lip out because I wouldn't play his "here's how I want the air conditioning system run" speech/handout, and I told him I'd run the packs the way Delta trained me to, and like I'd been doing it for the last 9 effing years.
Think I have some anger issues when I think about that jackass?!

Ahhh, Packman. Is he still up to the same antics?

Two have been added which make pac man a pleasure to fly with in contrast.

I immediately changed my default bid with a "do not pair with." I've been flying commercially since 1993 and did not ever use that function before.
