The Canadian news is all over how he 'bypassed security' in the US. Unfortunately, this sort of thing could have repercussions for KCM.

Except MH370 probably went off the grid with no guns aboard. Pilots can (by accident) and have done far more damage to planes than with anything that can fit through an X-ray machine.

Deadheading Question:

I thought if you were within 24 hours of the flight leaving and there are open seats in first class, you could change your seat to one of the first class seats. I was able to move my reservation to Economy Comfort.

When are you able to move to First?

Oh, BTW, the thunder is rolling in 737/A ATL.

Domestically - never. Economy Comfort is as good as it gets. You can always put in for an upgrade to FC (good luck with that) domestically but you can not reserve it.

I am not sure about international but I believe that if a crossing is involved there is some sort of contractual upgrade.

To get into F/C (domestically) you have to wait at the counter and hope someone doesn't show up, you can't book it.

If it was a mistake, that's almost worse than intentional. In my humble opinion it takes incredible stupidity and gross negligence to "forget" where your firearms are and casually leave them laying around in a bag or whatever.
Maybe its just me and the fact that there are kids around my house, but I am very paranoid about where my guns are at all times.
I know the TSA finds them in bags every day but I just can't imagine "accidentally" walking out of the house with a loaded gun.
Its mind boggling to me that people can forget they are carrying a deadly weapon.

This guy should be jailed just for being a dangerous idiot.

Every time I hear this story it's a guy from Montana, Wyoming, Idaho or Texas. Apparently when you've grown up w/ a firearm (legal or not) in your backpack it's the same as a city guy having some gum in their pocket. I have one friend in Colorado that has rounds of many different calibers laying all over his truck. This would be unheard of in So Cal.

Baja.

Unchambered rounds are an incredibly low risk of danger in a fire. There are tons of things common in vehicles and homes that are significantly more dangerous.
