I used this service with great success for a Trust. When I called Hyatt Legal Service, they put me in touch with an Estate Lawyer who pounded out my Trust. He said it would have cost me over $1500. I paid nothing. Recommended.
Which type of trust did you end up going with? If you don't mind me asking. |

Alan and Scambo,
Here is the answer (from the Scheduling Committee Handbook) to the use of payback days to drop a regular line trip: Q: Can I use payback days in a regular line month to drop a trip? How will I be paid? A: Yes, by mutual agreement with Crew Scheduling. You may enter your request in PCS under “Leave Requests” by selecting “Payback Days.” Your pay will depend on the number of payback days available for use. If the number of days available are sufficient to cover the entire rotation, that number of days will be used and you will be paid for the entire rotation. If the number of days is not sufficient to cover the entire rotation, all available payback days will be placed on the days of the rotation, beginning with the first of such days, and you will be paid the value of those days only. You will forfeit any pay or guarantee for the remainder of the rotation. Note that credit resulting from application of duty rigs is always tied to the last duty period of the rotation. Denny |

I am not disputing anything being said. I am just reporting what happened when I used the Hyatt Service. I called Delta, they gave me a number to Hyatt, I told them where I live and I wanted a trust. Hyatt then passed on to me several Estate Lawyers under their umbrella near my residence. I called one of them, made an appointment after he sent me a bunch of paperwork to fill out. Much like new hire indoc. At the appointment I informed said lawyer my goals and desired outcomes. At the final signing I had a trust, power of attorney for both myself and spouse, living and death wills, dispositions of property for certain health states etc.. I now have everything I could think of complete for Estate Planning and it cost me ZERO thanks to this Delta benefit. Now if someone else has a different experience then I count myself lucky or you taken advantage of. Those are the facts and I have the big Trust binder proving it. Bottom line, its worth investigating if you need this accomplished. |

If you happen to be a senior FO at LAX, just imagine for a moment, all the extra $$$$ you can put in your backpack if you bid CAPT in DTW or ATL now! There are 5 direct flights each day, including a red-eye to DTW and 10 flights to ATL, including 2 red-eyes. All this and more, could be yours, the price IS right. And while we are at it, senior CAPT's in L.A., just imagine yourself behind the wheel of a large airplane. The 747 and 777 are calling your name. Just think about it, you'll be thanking me later. |

Thanks for the heads up on all of the commuting opportunities. I've looked at the LAX bid pack with envy. With all these flights, commuting to LAX might be a great option!!!

As far as payback days go, be aware that, once they are placed on your schedule, they can be moved around just like X days can.
How do you move a payback day? Is that via a leave request? Thanks. |
Sailing, Allan, ACL,
With all the reroutes going on, what exactly constitutes a illegal vs legal reroute? Is there something from Alpa that gives us different scenarios and questions to ask to verify if it is legal or not? I have been rerouted my last several trips with no weather around. To me it seems they are rerouting just to get a two flights out on time vs leaving you on your original and just making the one flight delayed waiting on inbound crew.

I would look into that and make sure it is a valid reroute. It does not sound like it is irop related.

Welp....once again I get burned on a reroute!! This place is unfrigin believable. I get screwed out of a long overnight in city I bid to hangout with both my sister their families and meet my new (2 weeks old) niece, but am now string elsewhere bc some FO ran into a 60-168 issue. So I get his trip and he gets mine.
Once again our RR and scheduling section need to be addressed ASAP. Not trying to make light of your buttpounding. Exact same thing has happened to me more than once. Absolutely maddening, for sure. Needs fixed. |
