How do you figure the 100 hours in 672. Do you use the block time off the rotations or is it the total credit time for the rotation. Is there an easy way to track this. thanks
If you have a smartphone (e.g. iPhone/Android device) you can download the "ALPA Part 117 Calculator" from the App Store and it tracks through your user inputs.

Yep, taking your frustration out on innocent passengers is deplorable. I wish he could be removed from 9E.

I respectfully disagree. If I am traveling with my party, they should be entitled to my seniority for boarding. The KEY is you have to be WITH them and you are both listed as an S3. (no S2.... only S3)

I've been "hauling the mail" here since 1978 and because of that my 18 year old daughter going to a gossip fest will bump you everytime.

A buddy pass isn't, and should never be, considered "in your party" WRT inheriting your S3 seniority. They get your S4 seniority. That is enough, regardless of who(m) they are travelling with.

My personal opinion is that Delta has not thought this one through. I had a flight delayed for no other reason than the Captain had failed his Delta interview. (He made it lound and clear to his FO while in the gate area) Now he is back at Endeavor and not happy about it. Why would he be happy he knows that he won't go to mainline so his choices are go to another major or stay at Endeavor.

I think there should be one standard, if Endeavor pilots don't have to have a 4 year degree to interview then no one should. If they get rid of the tests then it should be straight across the board.

I'm glad DL saw whatever they saw with that candidate and made the no-hire decision. Maybe he was mad at himself that he wasn't as good of an actor as he thought he was because he couldn't fool professional actor spotters. I hope he gets over it quick. Behavior like that has a way of getting around in the small world of aviation. Some things are way worse than anything that can be found on a PRIA check. No other major would EVER hire him if they knew he behaved like that in uniform while working a flight.

As for the standards, I don't think that had anything to do with that event at all. And I don't like "special minimums" one bit for select groups or whatever. But the answer isn't to lower the mins for everyone to the least common denominator.

LHR is better then MEX when it comes to recovery. Have fun at security. My wife forgot to pack up a tube of toothpaste while visiting our daughter. She tossed it in my India bag as we were leaving. Never new it was down there until leaving LHR. They were incredibly excited to catch a criminal like me trying to smuggle a tube of toothpaste out of the country. I am in the book now whatever that means!!!!

It is block time off the rotations. If you are looking forward its scheduled block time and if you are looking back its actual. There is no easy way to track this until Delta IT gets their act together. We don't even get a 28 day block hour readout. Its still based on the old 30 days. You can use the legality checker found in the PCS swap submenu to see if there is a legality issue on something you want to pick up. It is now programmed for 117. ALPA does have a app however it does not know your schedule so its not that useful in this situation. I understand they are trying to get permission to access the Delta data stream so it would know exactly what is going on but so far Delta IT will not grant access. Hopefully soon we will have a good app and more information available on Delta net that matches FAR 117.

Mesabah might not be so far off. What if you were told that Delta now cares that not enough can pass the tests to entice pilots to go to Endeavor? That the SSP might be revamped to say that all tests of Endeavor pilots will be stopped that they are failing. Like eliminating all cog and aviation knowledge tests. Eliminate all mmpi questions and in regards to the panel, lowering the required score for Endeavor pilots?

Interesting rumor.

My fellow Delta pilots ... Delta wants cheap. When the market is unable to provide qualified pilots for the worst deal in the profession, the cheap response is to lower the standard.

I am not sure how we "permit" this while simultaneously trying to justify improvements to our pay and working conditions.

Best if we do not "permit" this to continue. I pledge to never vote yes to a contract which fails to further restrict, sunset, and lower the amount of Delta flying we permit to be done by those other than Delta pilots.

These pilot social engineering experiments should go to hell and burn there.

I'm glad to know I didn't miss a memo. After reading his post, I was wondering, since when buddy pass riders shared your S3 status, just because you were travelling with them.
