I flew them at Pinnacle. Many times arriving at the crashpad having no memory of the approach or landing. These things are UNSAFE. Would we even be having this discussion if they were restricted to the TOP 10% of the list, instead of the bottom 10% of the NB Categories?
One another Gem Pinnacle Management attempted to force down our throats.....tagging and out/back after the return leg to base.
Think about THAT. If you don't think DAL would do it you are living in a fantasy land. As long as it's under the 14 hour limit standby for a reroute.
I won't friggen do it. PERIOD. Even if it meant no longer working at DAL. There are other things out there that pay more and won't kill you.

But just one smokin' hole will nullify any financial benefit for the company...and the pilots who got stuck with it, will pay the ultimate price..good thing they got 7:30!
This is why we have a union..to step back and say, "NO"!
Schedule with SAFETY!...right?

I didn't say its bad.
And I don't follow that reasoning.
But it is "bad" because it is not 6 hours. Delta has a lot of smart people that will make us efficient. Again, not my job.

They are voting today - text your Reps NOW and let your voices be heard. This may not even goto Memrat. WTH?
I don't think their is a prayer of stopping this but it's worth a try. All the Senior guys will vote for it or not care. And that only leaves a needed 10-15% of others to like it.
I've asked my Rep to ask for better language or a trial period on the CDO's. Once you let that Camel in the tent it won't leave.
Baja.

I'm sorry but this is not true.
They reduced a carve out and added a much bigger carve out!
ALL SDP will be exempt from the ADG and with the "pay no credit" they will end of on a lot of pilots lines because of their small credit footprint.
I think we need to stop these SDPs right now, but if the MEC is determined to add them we need to ensure there are no carve outs. A report time of 2100 and release time 0900 is most definitely two days and should be paid as such.
Also, don't forget about the current use of white slips to cover 1 leg out and backs on overnights. With this new language a lot of these trips will start to pay 7.5 vs 10.5 hrs. And, with the pay no credit, if you are trying to get to your green slip trigger you may find yourself short.

. I can't sleep during the day. And I've never been able to take naps. It's one of the main reasons why I've never flown international and don't intend to. It's one of the main reasons I stayed on the MD-88 as a First Officer to avoid redeyes when I could have held the 757/767 or 738.
So if we allow CDO's, I can just about guarantee you the 88/90 category is going to be chalk full of them. Maybe some senior guys will bid them but I really doubt there are THAT many of us who don't
So what am I supposed to do if I get assigned one of these things? :

Exactly! I'm surprised Dickson is even willing to buy off on this..especially with all the emphasis on unstable approaches and eye-opening FOQA data. I guess it's always been all about the dollar.
