If the company did want to do. that, it would be before the fences came down. Otherwise the waterfall of training would be huge.

Just to make sure the NW guys got bumped off the whale.

I got a long lecture the other day in my AME's office from a FNW guy on how he got totally boned in the SLI, how all us DL guys just want to get on the whale ASAP, and a few other things. He apparently lecture the AME on similar. How he passed the blood pressure test, I dont know... I do know that everyone that would give him that time of day got the same lecture.

How incredibly fatiguing to live life so angry.

Is that after delivery of the 300IGWs begins?

The 330 is already flying enough departures out of NYC for a base. There is no need to replace any 767 flying. The plan however is to wait for the new 330's so the base can be opened with Minimal training. The new airframes are however delayed to May/June next year for the first two and that might slip further if airbus does not get their act together.

There will be plenty of slots on the 747 over the next 3 years. Lots of retirements. With the way marketing moves the flying around I doubt the 747 will ever see a base change. DTW will be it until they are retired. I know a former NW Captain who wants a whale bid and is ticked that none of the Captains are going early. He hoped they would leave before the fence came down and take one for the team. 747 bids should get more numerous next spring.

Some FOs need to get a bit more dilligent with the "step off the curb fake out."
