Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
What are the limits of the rules that a short call pilot, or a long call pilot must be released at 1200 on their last on call day prior to a hard non fly day? More specifically can they assign you a trip that reports at 1300 as long as it gets you back by 2359? Or, since you are technically a long call pilot at 1159 on that last day, they can't give you that 1 day trip and must release you at 1200? If you're not sure of the answer, who should I ask?

I know what I think but don't want to preach it as gospel.
Denny
Edit: page 70 answers your long call question.
The only "rumor" I have heard about NBA charters is that if they don't pony up more money, they can go elsewhere for them. The airbusses that are configured will make more money with regular configuration and revenue service

Does anyone have a short list of JFK hotels for a FNG short-time commuter?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
I don't expect an edict from DALPA demanding VA park mass quantites of wide bodies serving existing routes just so we can hire into them. But I do expect to keep what we have and to definately get at least 50% of any additional growth. And added protections to guard against bravo sierra little technicalities like all cargo heavies "not counting" towards ESK's and all that. I also expect rock solid protections from other markets VA may end up doing one day besides just LHR or even the entire UK.
What if AS cries uncle and comes grovelling to DL for the feed again? The AS code share abuse on the west coast was flagrant and massive. We were told there is no way we can do it, yet we're now doing it, and the big factor seems to be its pretty mission critical.
Its resolving itself, but only because of the decisions made by AS management. They could make different decisions anytime. I'd like our recent progress locked down in Section One and their ability to go back to the way it used to be eliminated and the code share needs to be constrained to where it is today at the absolute highest.
Our scope > AS management's latest round of decision making.

If you're a military retiree or reservist, the Soldier's, Sailor's, Airman's, & Marine's Club ($ varies according to rank) in Manhattan can't be beat. Otherwise, I recommend one of the crashpads you'll find listed on the bulletin board in the pilot's lounge.
My favorite is Crash Pad Oasis (crashpadoasis.com) ($50), but I don't know whether they've yet fixed all the water damage they sustained from a 3rd-floor flood a while back. It's one subway stop away from Jamaica Station.
My second-favorite is Lyle's Crash Pad ($40). It's in a sketchy neighborhood, but Lyle picks you up and drops you off at the airport; and it's nice inside. Just order delivery. Lyle got hired by a commuter airline a while back, so I'm not sure whether he still picks you up. You can pm me for the number.
There's someone named Jill who rents mostly to flight attendants at $25/night. It's a decent neighborhood, and I thought it was a good deal until I had to sit through a Kardashians marathon one Christmas day. Never again. I don't happen to have Jill's number anymore, but someone will.
No-Hassle Castle rents by the month. It was $250 when I used it, and it was a nice place in a decent neighborhood. I don't have the number, but there'll be a flyer in the lounge.
If you're coming off a redeye and are going out again that night, the 5 Towns Hotel rents day-rooms at $50. They pick you up. 516.371.2600.
I hope this helps, and welcome to New York!
What could go wrong? Seems to be working well as he tries to line up with the runway.
