OK, rolling thunder gurus, 39 hours of credit in July for vacation at the end of the month. I am also senior, so I assume getting the beginning of JUly off will not be a problem. With an ALV of 84, how many reserve days will I have to do, and is the strategy just to bid the beginning days of the month off? Thanks

I'll take a stab at it. Sounds like you have 12 days of vacation in July. With an 80 hour reserve guarantee, that will give you 87:00 hours of pay if you bid reserve. Since July is a 30 day month, you have 18 days available if you bid reserve. According to the table in Section 12 for an 80 hour guarantee and 18 days available, you should get 7 X days (8 if your category gets the extra X day. Look on the first page of the Navtech website to see if you do.)

If you want to try and do rolling thunder, the best way is to bid all your X days at the beginning of the month and put a greenslip in to be awarded trips thru the 18th. To up your chances, do two other things. Do not put in any restrictions if at all possible and make sure you also put in for out of base greenslips with no conflict too. Make sure you put in a "process until date" of, say, July 18th so if you do get a greenslip and your days off roll over, you are already set up for the next one if it becomes available.

Good Luck!

Denny

Are you guys going to debate, or name call?

Name call. I'm not gonna let Eric Cartman stand here and slander my character like he has. He can either put up or shut up. He doesn't know how to debate without character assassination.

Disregard. Denny answered the question

I understand. I go after people when they insinuate things about me, too. But, it seems like someone is purposefully pushing your buttons and you are taking the bait. But hey, fight it out how you want to. I just don't want to see the thread closed. :)

Ever the wise one you are newK. I won't say anything to get the thread closed, but I'm not gonna let him get away with his schoolyard bully routine either.

I am guessing that that Master's degree in 19th Century French poetry isn't panning out all that well.

Don't forget guns and abortion. Or does religion cover those:p

Was that the trip I ran into you in NRT and you had your little ziplock of controversial tie tacks?

I bet you. $50,000 that those two guys would get along perfectly, too.
:D

There's no need to denigrate Eric Cartman.
