PBS was just under 5%. The biggest manning changes over time were elimination of the hard cap,bow wave and vacation changes. The average Block hours per pilot has increased from 600 to 800 per year. Having said that we are still one of the least efficient us airlines.

You may not care how we compare against other airlines but if we are working for release from the NMB they will. It's a key component of total pilot block hour cost. I fully realize that some of the productivity issue is the result of managements fleet plan choices where they seek out every orphaned and bastard aircraft type to operate. DALPA will certainly have to make that point in negotiations but they are also going to have to provide numbers on what shortfalls are contractual verses fleet plan against our competitors. |

Curious thing using your "inside knowledge" to cherry pick reasons we have "no leverage". What is it you hope to accomplish? Just doing your part to let us know we shouldn't expect much? What a guy!

(natural RJ mitigation, good financial management with 717 replacing them, overall good management, Age 65 stagnation ending, normal economic ebb and flow...) C2012 allows Delta to outsource flying to Alaskan Airlines. Delta has decided not to do that. What Delta is now going to do is compete against Alaskan requiring SEA growth and hey we need to hold on to jets we were going to retire. So clearly the reason we're expanding is because of C2012. |

Yup.... Who cares ;) And the fact we were told we never want to be like UsAir... dpa... something something something. So I'm just doing what I was told and saying I don't want to be like UsAir. |
