What if the FO is given a trip for the next day and there is nobody else to cover his trip the next day. So if Saturday you have already given this FO a 3-day and your option is:

A) use the FO for the Friday turn and GS the Saturday 3-day or
B) use a GS for the day trip and the FO stays on the 3-day or
C) Pull a wild hair out of your behind and do as you wish.

I select option C daily, why stop now?

That's my best wild guess, now back to do what I was doing...

My points being:
a) I'm pleased that one of my senators' staffers actually called me, as opposed to simply shooting out a canned "we care about you" e-mail, like I used to get in my last state.
b) You may think your legislators know about NAI because it's important to you and hey, you sent that canned e-mail last week. They don't. Call them.

Hammer, meet nail.

Thanks for doing that, by the way. My Congressman and both Senators say they are on board with Deny NAI.

Letters get the most respect from offices. Phone calls come in second. Emails are important, but don't get as much respect as something with a stamp on it. Our calls-to-action mass emails back up the government affairs volunteers making the office visits, and when LOTS of pilots respond, the votes start going our way.

Get involved. It takes thirty freaking seconds.

"Later" might as well be "never" if NAI gets approved. I will not consent to the idea of watching our international flying getting based overseas.

Can someone explain to me how NAI is sustainable with a ticket price that is 1/2 of our yield fare?

I've done the calls to action, but I just don't know the answer to my question.

It isn't, and that's the $64,000 question. It's a union buster airline, so that's probably where the answer truly lies.

Fellas:

Sierra Nevada IPA Variety 12-pack is on sale, at least at Kroger.

Oh so glorious...

Product dumping and market share. What the Japanese did with consumer electronics in the 70's. Once there is no US international flying of any significance any longer they will raise prices to profitable levels but will own the market. Ditto with the ME carriers. And they are counting on our own law makers to hand it to them.

Along with union busting, NAI receives the benefit of a 12.5% corporate tax rate being based in Ireland vice a 40% tax rate for Delta based in the US.

They used them to fly spare parts and engines around the system. And mechanics. And ticket stock and other stuff, like the pilots motorcycle. And sometimes they flew below the rim of the grand canyon. All true...
