Yes, the AMR/US tie up will be a stronger company than Delta.

I follow financial news now fairly consistently. Never did before in my life until BK wiped away my pension and lump sum that I "never needed to worry about."

Now I carefully invest for myself and have finally become some what consistent with it. I had to teach myself but I'm glad I did.

I recall reading on Bloomberg and in the IBD that Delta management was touting the "cost neutral contract agreement" and they were going into detail to emphasize that to the financial community and press.

Not once did I see your reference that the company hoped that increased revenue would off set the costs.

Please provide a link to any article or financial briefing transcript that supports your specific claims.

A search I ran on your claims was unfruitful. I would search more, however, I have little time to do so on this trip.

I'm genuinely interested in seeing your response and references..

Thanks. Have a good weekend.
Look at the total pilot costs from the annual reports. They have gone up every year since the merger.

Please try again.

To refresh your recollection, you claimed that management did not state to the financial press and analysts that it was a cost neutral contract in 2012, but rather a contract that's costs were essentially out weighed by revenue.

I asked:

Again, please find the link to an article or transcript of a Delta officer supporting your claim.

Your answer was a vague statement that is ambiguous at best. Reference TOGA LK's response below.

And pilots are how much more efficient than they use to be? The numerical value went up but so did the revenue and the block hours flown. How did we roll into C2012 1k+ overstaffed? It wasn't maintaining the pre-DAL contract, it was pay raises offset by workrule and other QOL concessions; in essence we morphed back into NWA.

I maintain it wasn't even cost neutral, the company made out better than that.

Guys, we're clearly being set up for another flaccid performance from Dalpa; it's truly disheartening to see the usual suspects here predicting doom and gloom, shaping the battlefield, and trying to minimize the effort and expenditure a protracted contract drive entails for Dalpa and Delta.

As always, it's impossible to distinguish between the Dalpa and company advocates here.

Delta had $2.97 billion in cash on hand.

Their revenue generation capability, particularly with regard to route structure and alliances, appears actually better than Delta's.

Parker will be every bit as formidable as RA and he has a good team in place. A lot of the same managers that have been with him since I witnessed him in action when he was the #2 and the real brains behind AmWest.
OK so far for revenue. What's the story on Total Debt? Just askin'...
