If you are suggesting that the company might offer something and that some might take it( which I highly doubt will amount to any significant number) then we might be on the same page. As far as every man having a price, I agree, but I don't think the company will get anywhere near what it will take to get rid of any of the top players. They got it waaaaay too good to leave.

Thanks, but what about the month prior to starting training. IE start on the 10th with training for the rest of the month, how would I bid for that? Nothing is on my September PBS schedule, but I got a heads up in icrew for training.

looks like 20 days of training in September, ALV is 80 in Sept for my current category. Thanks

Edit: so is it
1. Bid like normal for the month that you start training and whatever you bid gets dumped thats conflicts or

2. Get credit for training and have to bid something on remaining days off to get near the window?

It depends. If you don't show any pre-award for training then one hand may not be talking to the other (training hasn't posted it to you sked yet so pbs couldn't know.) Check your VTS for SEP in icrew and see if the training is definitely in there. If so, try to cram 80+ hours into the month after the 10th...OR if you want to go high you could bid to fly the first 10 days and then go to training to try and double dip. IQ only pays prorated ALV though so 20 days would only be something like 55 hrs of credit. You probably won't be able to get too far over 80 by working the first 10 days, and may end up spinning your wheels for a marginal gain. I'd personally shoot to be off the first 10 days with a max credit bid.

All that said, your training should be preposted if you're really going to IQ next month.

You're just trying to get paid more to go out early before you have to go out. :D

Does anyone know if the hotel we stay at in Barcelona gives us a good vacation rate? It doesn't say on mycrewguide. Thanks!

Interesting play on words. Nothing for nothing is exactly my position. I will pay something for something... but not something for nothing..... :D
