You have to have the slip in before the scheduler begins trying to cover the trip in question.

I've already provided my input to my reps that we need the same protections against this and other types of monitoring that we have with the BOYD tablets.
Item 5. Tentative Agreement, LOA 14-02 Electronic Tablet Devices: Our Negotiating Committee and Delta reached a Tentative Agreement, LOA 14-02, this last week for the company provided tablets (electronic flight bag). LOA 14-02 contains many of the same protections as Memorandum of Understanding 13-01, Airwatch Privacy. Additionally, this LOA protects our pilots from the added recording capability of the camera and microphone that is integrated in the tablet, as well as tracking and a host of other concerns you have communicated to us. The MEC will be briefed and vote on this LOA in Chicago this week. |

Ahh, the labeling of constructive criticism as something completely different. Fall in line sheeple--or else.

Is there a time requirement via the PWA (or any other formal agreement/rule) for having had a slip request submitted prior to a trip being awarded in order for you to have a legitimate claim at being skipped over and the trip being incorrectly awarded to another pilot? I had a GS request in for a specific rotation and it went to another pilot (his #2) 16 minutes after the time stamp for my slip request. Appears the scheduler ignored my slip request. :(

I had a yellow slip ignored a few months ago. I submitted the YS 3 hours prior to the noon PCS run and scheduling told me that they ran the slip requests at 9am that morning. I'm like, ahhh, ok. Thanks

Don't know if it's still the same way but prior to the first PCS run after you submit a slip, you were always last in line for the award. Commencing on the second PCS run after submission is when you get put in seniority order. That's why it's better to modify a request than delete it and start over. The same thing happens to a modification but at least the original is still in for consideration. Don't know if it's still this way.

True but I think the OP was wondering if there was some set time where they ran the slip requests each day before the PCS runs and there is not. In my case they printed out the slip requests several hours before they actually started awarding the trips. Oh, and to clarify, in my example it was for a YS next day flying which I believe is done manually and outside of the automated PCS runs.

How does one request a blank line? Is there an option in PBS or do you have to call in the request?
