Now that you've told him, you're going to have to kill him!

Hey, whenever we all see each other out in the real world, we should have a secret greeting (kinda like a secret handshake)... "Hey, you freakin' idiot!" :D
See, C130, you started something! ;) By the way, welcome to Delta! :) |

I don't know if this is such a good idea. I'm walking around the AMS NH bar calling people, "Freakin' idiots," and I'm getting a lot of dirty looks.
Maybe we should go back to the secret handshake. |

Because it's dumb politics to behave that way. If you're going play the DC game, you have to understand the rule. The rule is: You have to pay off both sides. That's what management's do. If your political payoffs are too one sided, the other side notices and you'll lose them needlessly. And when the side you've lost gains power, you're out in the cold. Of course now we have the very interesting scenario of "our side" not helping at all with Exp/Imp and NAI.
See above. The left is morphing into an entity that no longer loyally supports us, and some on the right are supporting our two biggest issues. You have to try to win over both sides. Either that, or hope your side never loses. Carl |
Wow,
When the cost of owning a plane is lower than the cost of actually operating it this is what happens: Air India 787-8, VT-ANI, hasn't flown since April 2014 and has been cannibalized: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25953519/AI787.png That sad picture of the 787 above kind of reminds me of the Air India 777-200LR, VT-ALH delivered in 2009 and parked since May 2012, cannibalized for parts: http://i0.wp.com/www.bangaloreaviati...size=618%2C390 Cheers George |
Don't forget that Delta sends out the information to ALL employees. No way do they want (or will they) send out the specifics for our DPMP. They really don't want the 70,000 other employees to know. So the question is why isn't the DPMP info out? Well...because it isn't required to be until open enrollment when they turn on the comparison calculators. What they're doing right now is managing the expectations of the 70,000 and getting them ready for significant cost increases...all about change management. I don't think you'll find any info on the DPMP for awhile longer. It's not hidden--just hasn't been published yet.
