Not true. A plan can't be in bad shape. About 5 years ago we had around 100 pilots on it and Delta really wanted to drop it as the administrative costs were high. But last year Delta deleted the ability (once all deductibles were met) to cover 100% and we started seeing the number of pilots increased.
There is no sinking fund amount....we use it, Delta pays. As I mentioned before, I suspect a large number of pilots migrate to the DPMP for 2015. As somebody already said...you can see where Delta is going on this and they're only a couple years out before their plan matches the exchange plans and they can dump 70,000 employees. They're already on record for their dissatisfaction with the Obama plan and their health insurance costs.

Lol, got lucky on the pick late in the 4th otherwise Gators would've won. Honestly, you give Butch Jones a few more years and your Vols will be in great shape no matter who the opposing coach is.

Because it's dumb politics to behave that way. If you're going play the DC game, you have to understand the rule. The rule is: You have to pay off both sides. That's what management's do. If your political payoffs are too one sided, the other side notices and you'll lose them needlessly. And when the side you've lost gains power, you're out in the cold. Of course now we have the very interesting scenario of "our side" not helping at all with Exp/Imp and NAI.

See above. The left is morphing into an entity that no longer loyally supports us, and some on the right are supporting our two biggest issues. You have to try to win over both sides. Either that, or hope your side never loses.

I was referencing annul contributions. And as your post shows, its an average of less than $1 billion per year.

But to my point: Israel is our only ally in the Middle East yet we also contribute millions to our non-allies like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Why don't you list those numbers?

Looks like the first engine out I did in the sim on Fifi. Churning butter with the stick!

I wonder if they had to go and buy the deluxe model kneepads on their drive home?

Heyas Amish,

With one exception (a near disastrous experiment with a HMO plan back in the day), I've been on the DPMP, "Option N", and the NWA Contract Plan before that.

I've always been very happy, with zero surprises, and minimal paperwork, number crunching or money juggling. It always seemed too important to jack around with. I make an appointment with the DR, I go, they pay. Same with the meds.

I vastly preferred BCBS as the administrator, but I haven't run into too many problems with UHC, and, in fact, they approved some items pretty quickly when I had my doubts. I haven't had any in-network/out of network issues (with the one exception of Physical Therapy providers).

I had one medium-ish surgery, one medium-ish out-patient procedure, and a pooper-snoop, and everything was covered with no hassles, including multiple MRI's, CT's, X-rays, and all the happy fun time that goes with that. My experience echoes yours to a T. In all cases I picked the Doc, Surgeon or specialist directly with zero hassle. I see absolutely no reason to change.

Disclaimer: Not married, no kids, no recurring medical issues or long-term prescription needs. Obviously not many fall into this category, so YMMV, DYODD.

Nu

I've been on it since they were using leeches, I just have never seen such poor numbers before.
