If you disagree and need to make yourself feel better about yourself than go right ahead. Explain why your rest is more important than a truck driver who can kill a bus load of kids for crossing the centerline while hand driving hours and hours.

We may be heavy equipment operators on a whole different level. Different discussion. Our rest and their rest are not comparable. Nobody says they can't get 8 hours of sleep.
