Not that your reference was about anything I said negatively about the best damn airline in the world that will smite those who are evil and wish to do it harm. :D

My comments were not to you but intended to be more general to everyone. They are also not specific to the last week. There have been posts that made me far more nervous for the posters many times on APC. The only reason I even brought this up is Delta has put a link to their social media policies on the opening page of Delta net. There is I suspect a reason they have done that. We may all have disagreements over time on this forum but one thing we should all agree about is no pilot should face company action from this forum.
We all saw the fallout from the Captain Happy post here.

If you are assigned a Long Call day, is it possible to be awarded a G/S short call award? If so, how/what does it pay? Thanks.

I believe so. GS w/ less than 12 hours callout. If you had 4 days on, and were called out w/ less than 12 hours, I believe it will be pay no credit on day one only.

There is such an animal as GS on RSV with less than 12 hour call out, but I'm not sure it's even possible anymore since 117 requires 10 hours free from duty immediately preceding an FDP, and once you go on LC at midnight you are no longer "free from duty"

You used to be able to do this, but typically only on day 1 of a reserve stretch (due to LC not counting as rest) or on a rare day where you were coming off of required rest after a trip or 7 RSV days in a row.

I'd love to be shown wrong, but I don't see how it's possible anymore.

Still possible because I see the F codes go out, but have never looked to see how they do it with 117 rest.

To all my fellow APCer's: I just put in my last bid as a DL pilot, Sept is my retirement date. Me and 6 other retiring 777 Captains are throwing a huge retirement party in ATL Oct 24th that could go down in history. Open bar, catered, live entertainment and transportation to from parking.
Timbo, Scambo and all ATL 777 pilots are already on the invite list. FTB, 80, Newk,Carl, Alpha, Sailing, Alan,Jughead,Bar,T,Jesse, et al. please consider yourselves invited. We are sending out a save the date around the 20th of Aug and then invites early Sept so people can bid around it. This will be RSVP due to the cost involved but we're planning on last minute arrivals. This party is with significant others and even RA is on the list so please don't be shy or worry that you won't know anyone. I have enjoyed all the conversations on the Latest and Greatest and figure this would be a great excuse to get together as many APCer's as possible. If you are interested please pm me your contact info and I will add you to my list.
The retiree's involved are; Ron Norris, Paul Faulkner, Marc Lugash, Gene Robinson, Warren Zatazalo and myself Ross Campbell. There are 3 others that are considering joining as of this time but not yet committed.

I know an employer can establish policy, but in doing so, I don't think they can violate the Constitution.

(Of course by disparaging, I mean writing verifiable facts that might not be pleasant to read, but are true.)

I don't believe this policy violates the Constitution. I believe the 1st amendment prevents the government from taking away our right to free speech against the govt. It doesn't protect us from policies that we agreed to when we signed the dotted line. We can bad mouth Delta all we want, but since we agreed not to do so then there could be consequences. Delta has the right to create these policies, and require their employees to agree to them. We have a right to not agree to the policy, and work elsewhere.

You are guaranteed freedom of speech by the Constitution, but you're not guaranteed continued employment by Delta.

Exactly. Well stated Gentlemen.
