I have been using the Jepp product via BYOD for a couple of months. I like it better then numerous charts and books for a number of reasons, here are my top 3.

1. You can zoom in and enlarge the print...good for older eyes
2. You can open all those pages on the device and "turn" the pages to see what you want. This is great for an FO especially during deicing situations you speak of. You can have Jepp product, Vol 1 and FOM all open at once and not be balancing all the books and pages
3. No more missing pages or pages put in the wrong spot in the Jepp books. Every trip I do I have to search to find a chart because someone has taken it out of the book and put it back in the wrong spot.

There is no doubt about it you will have some learning to do and it will take a while to get used to it. I think that once people are used to it they are going to like it a lot.

I think it will work great, however you said you had been using the product for a couple of months...realistically how long did it take to adapt to the format, knowing that you had the charts avail. Thks

Does this work for retirees without the newer CAC card? Still have the older card (not CAC), but it does have a 10 digit ID number. Only saw active/Guard/Reserve on the link you posted. You mentioned active/retired above but it wasn't on the website link.

Make up a listing and put the numbers in the 'known traveler id' box when you list. Check in and see if your seat request card says "TSA PRECHECK" or something along those lines. Then you'll know if it worked or not.

This probably applies to every category, but ATL7ERB's...get your greens in. Lot's of uncovered trips for tomorrow with one guy remaining on reserve.

I'm calling all my dumb friends and telling them to put white slips in now!

Tomorrow I'll get to meet my fourth F/O on a greenslip. Let's see.... Break up a 4 day into 4 two days worth a total of about 40ish hours and GS em all. Why not make the whole thing a GS from the start?
