There was a blurb in the weekly update that said our credit scores had not been pulled to issue the card.

I wonder what kind of kickback Delta is getting for that thing.
I'm going to kick mine back: "return to sender." Don't send me that ****.

I cut mine up when I got it. Not an anti delta thing, but the card was a bad deal and it seemed like I was being used as a profit center again.

Got you one better - straight into the shredder - quicker and easier.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but then I thought, "Hey, there might be a free six-pack in this somewhere down the road."

$3 for a replacement card
Charges for calling Customer service more than twice a month
$1.50 INACTIVITY FEE per month 12 months after you activate your card (WATCH OUT on this one!)
$2.50 for a Mailed Statement!

This plan really stinks to me. Not sure if it affects our credit score, but that is also something to watch out for. Company essentially set up a credit/debit account for us without asking if we wanted it and then when we select a PIN we now are part of a binding agreement with the Bank which if you don't do due diligence on is kinda crappy deal. My $.02

I was hoping someone would bring this up. What a scam and shame on the company for pushing a rewards card that actually charges the card holder for inactivity after 12 months.

It's not like they send pilots points for going above and beyond. ... it's just expected as a pilot. I have pushed WC's, returned lost I pads, phones and camera's to passengers next departure gate and never received any special reward or recognition. I do it because I care and would want someone to do the same for me. Although, I am sure the gate agent's on occasion steal that thunder anyways. The point being, pilots are expected to do these things but flight attendants and gate agents get points. Pilots are the messenger for the brand and required by FOM to act with high standard's.

Therefore, let it be resolved pilots should not be concerned how much we make vs. Our co-workers. The me to clause is very selectively applied at this airline. This points reward system is just one example. I encourage all pilots to read the terms and conditions before activating this card mine went through the crosscut shredder yesterday. I am not going to be financially harmed because I do not use this card once activated.

If it's a debit card, and there's a negative balance due to fees, who's on the hook for it?
