If you live near any major US/Canada border points apply for Nexus (private boat, aircraft phone clearance). $50 and when you interview they'll do Global Entry on the spot no extra charge. Reference pre-check you need to fill out the number once on Travelnet and it populates forever after. If you have any metal joints you'll still have to shed everything if you set off the detector.

1) We organically grow Seattle,
2) Alaska's market share is decreased,
3) American or Southwestern buys them,
4) Southwestern treats them like they treated AirTran,
5) Costs rise like they did in Atlanta for Southwestern,
6) Virgin America/JetBlue merge and get the gate space that Southwestern had to divest in the purchase,
7) Everyone is happy.

4) Edited: or AA will treat them like they treated TWA ;)

Otherwise it looks VERY plausible.

I don't think you see the drive it takes to operate at that high level, Buzz. I mean seriously, do you thin you have the spirit to do that flight? ;)

So, is this an inter-company video or a commercial they are going to release?

I agree with this version too. :)

I don't think that McCaskil-Bond applies unless the purchasing carrier keeps the purchased carrier under the same certificate. (i.e. Single Operating Certificate) In other words, there are methods to avoid the McCaskil-Bond Amendment by operating on two separate certificates, and slowly decreasing the amount of flying that Alaska Airlines "performs" for the purchasing carrier.

P.S. Someone much mo' smartur than me can add to the stipulation of the McCaskill-Bond Amendment. (Calling Newknow.) :)

It's Hyatt Legal Services. Division of MetLife. The MetLife connection is how Delta people qualify.
You can find the info on the DeltaNet under Employee Info / Delta Perks / Insurance / Legal Services.

It is a great deal. You get a will for absolutely free. Everyone should have a will.

One caveat: I wouldn't go through them if you have some highly complex estate planning you are trying to do. They are great at the basics but if you have trusts or generation skipping bequests or a QDRO that binds a defined benefit pension or anything like that then you probably already have a lawyer anyway.

Agreed. If you give them your particulars prior to the meeting they can do a lot, if not all of it.
