I hope the company takes the base moves very, very slowly. It's going to be very hard to reverse any changes they do make so why not take some time and see how everything shakes out before making moves that are going to be expensive. Not sure why you think it would be in our best interests to get it done in one bid either. For those of us happy where we live and work the longer they take, the better.

I'm loving the DALPA discussions.

Seems like a lot of ladies at DALPA have their panties in a wad. They are now posting here.

Remember folks, DALPA is the CAPTIAN'S union. Their "unofficial charter" is the following:

1. Take care of the top 30 percent of the seniority list.

2. Give anything and everything to the company to ensure that charter number 1 (above) is accomplished.

It's time for a change. It may not happen this time but...

Change will happen.

Cheers,

I figured mr. butt or whatever his name was would only stick his head in here after that southwest post for one of 2 things:

1. He has a secret crush on the stunningly handsome DN and the only way to get that out is to try to bash him.

2. My previous conjecture. :)

Great detective work, Super! :)

Not that hard to find. Buttermaker only has 8 posts and two of them are the same!

ACL,

1. Were you ever a supporter of the RJDC during your tenure at ASA?

If you are asking that question, then you already know the answer, No.

2. If Transparency seems to be an integral part of your campaign platform, why are you on this board speaking in third person?
read a post a few pages ago for that answer.

3. In your last campaign letter, you wrote that you have been helping Delta Pilots for the last six years. How did you do that if you have been at Delta for less than 3 years?
Had a guy ask me about that the day the letter came out. DPAC/HIMS, is almost the same program and we worked closely with DAL. It was suggested to me, not to mince words, so instead of using HIMS from ASA and DPAC from DAL, I used DPAC for the ALPA work. If you look at the web site, that letter was changed at one pilots request, as the suggestion I took writing the letter, caused one pilot to question the intent so I changed it on the website and directed him to it. Plus there are other parts of the web site that make the distinction abundantly clear.

Thanks for your time in answering these questions. I want to make the right decision in the upcoming election. I agree we need to get rid of the current mindset of the MEC, but I don't want another "politician" telling us all what we want to hear to further his own agenda.
I figured that it would come to RJDC stuff. Smear if you want, but I was never a supporter.

Was this answered effectively for you?

His questions are legitimate and I answered them, because they needed answering. I am not going to play 20 questions with everyone on this board. Send a e-mail to the candidates, with your name on it. That way they can see if you are from 44.

Thats weird because in the below post you talked about working at SWA? I only bring this up because it seems like people are suddenly popping up out of the woodwork to jump on ACL. Sure seems suspicious doesnt it?

Hence the reason no candidate wanted to play on this board.

A few reasons why it is better to get it done on one bid. First of all it is a "bid what you want but want what you bid" system. Folks will have to think long and hard at what they really want to do and do it. Not get "feedback" from continual bids. Second, for all those near the bottom of their respective categories, it means only one MD and therefore one 30 day initial stay in either the ATL or Minny training center. New hire chums of mine got MD in the Jan bid from ER's to 73, then MD'ed again in the Aug bid from 73 to MD. That's three training programs in 18 months. Ouch. Finally, pyschologically it is better to just know sooner and deal with it then to have this virtual non-stop bid possibility hanging over our heads. You know that stresses folks out as we read it on these boards.

The continual bidding events would also make a lot of junior guys bid junior equipment off the bat. That would lessen their training events too.
