A very astute observation.

Tough times indeed for the

Personally, I do not. As with my investment portfolio, I am comfortable with a considerable amount of risk. Unless Delta were to offer us some ridiculous amount of pay in return for what is essentially an unlimited profit sharing plan, e.g., something akin to 12-14% APR on a CD, I believe that we are better off accepting the risk of no profit some day in return for higher returns in profitable years.

But that's just me. Others may be more risk averse and prefer the certainty of a higher fixed pay rate. The trick, though, is to ensure that you're not mistaking the pay that you've bought with your profit sharing for an actual increase in compensation.

Did you read your first sentence before you wrote the last sentence?

Careful, you'll make him cry. His whole life revolves around wearing his LCA lanyard, consuming free muffins and kool-aid at LCA meetings, and bloviating at high volume here on APCF.

He's like a clown on fire; kinda funny, kinda sad.

Correct me if I'm wrong please.

The forum, for the last few days, has been arguing over a few words from a few paragraphs taken from a 45 minute interview. Let me repeat, a few words from a few paragraphs from a 45 minute interview.

Now, we all know how wonderful the media is at sound bites. Has anyone seen or read the WHOLE 45 minute interview? I do NOT trust the media.

Let's all get the FACTS!!! Then and only then can all of us forum "experts" argue our points. Right now you all look like a bunch of spoiled kids arguing over whose daddy is bigger. Sheesh.

I'm not defending Moak. I would just like to see the whole interview before passing judgment. I know none of us here have ever taken a snippet of a conversation and bashed anyone. ...roll eyes...

And yet he's beaten ALPA over and over again in court. You'd think ALPA would be able to tear apart an incompetent like this guy.

Of course they don't. But, according to you, we should be very concerned about how we are viewed by our non-pilot co-workers when we are seeking contract gains.

There are a LOT of things that we should consider/factor in to the crafting of our opener next spring. How it will affect the "reputation" we have with our non-pilot co-workers, OR how "arrogant" they will view our position should NOT be one of them!!!
Completely agree.
