Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Management opened the last round of negotiations proposing a zero percent increase. I would expect the same from them again. They know ALPA is weak. Lee Moak just reiterated that fact.
THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Those "coworkers", whose opinion of us T is so concerned about, could have checked Pilot on the application. Unless of course they hadn't done anything even remotely similar to what the rest of us did to be able to check that box. Could Not Care LESS about our "reputation" among our "coworkers". Show me the money.
And you wonder why we still make so much less than before despite profit levels never seen in the history of commercial aviation.
What ARE they spiking the Koolaid with at those LCA meetings??Simply Unbelievable. One of the first steps towards recovering from the last decade is to stop worrying about offending some coworker who couldn't be/didn't want to be a pilot. I wonder if our executives, who have contracts negotiated for them individually by their representatives, worry about offending other executives when they negotiate their deals.Hmmmm...

That right there sort of encapsulates the last decade of the regional industry and their problems. Your idea to save Pinnacle/Mesaba pilots is to throw the Colgan guys under the bus. Right now, when that happens, the aircraft just get moved to a new carrier with 1 and 2 year Captains that have the lowest costs which further puts pressure on long established carriers. How long did it take Delta to place the Comair large RJ's into service after they shut down? Not long. ASA's costs are too high? Just move the jets to GoJets with new hires and problem solved.
The key to your future is cooperation and coordination.

It was a simple mathematical statement of fact. I don't see how you could have possibly taken it the way you did.
I do know how touchy some of the other employees are about how much money we make. Sorry, but I don't make any apologies about that. If they wanted to be pilots, or business executives, or doctors, or whatever else pays more than what they make, then they should have pursued it. I certainly don't flaunt it in their face... and I am extremely respectful and professional with all of them. Beyond that, if some of them have a chip on their shoulder about it, there's nothing I can do about that. I'm certainly not going to voluntarily take less pay to make them feel better.
What's up with you today, T? I thought you were a conservative and didn't like socialism?

I despise socialism, and in particular the head socialist clown in the circus. I wasn't advocating that in the least. And I do not apologize for my compensation. But your "mathematical statement of fact" certainly appeared to me to be saying that the other employees have gotten back to where they were before the BK, and that reaching that level is not as important to them nor as meaningful to them as reaching it is to us. And what I read was EXACTLY flaunting it in their face.
Secondly, if I read that in your post, I can guarantee you that someone else did. If you don't agree, that's your prerogative. I'll bet there are some that do.

Well frankly I agree. I am not interested in some stupid gang banger wannabe "drank" nor in any overpriced automobile. (I wouldn't know an alfaromeo from a VW Passat... I am just not into cars.) But given the choice between the "drank" or the AR.....
