Will and Testament

Does anyone have any good information on setting up your Will? Discounts? Recommended Lawyers or services for a Delta Employee? Anything through Delta Perks?

Thanks.

Yep, I think people have these "fond" memories of a DTW-TVC-DTW CDOs or similar ones, where the trip was 40 minutes each way, into the hotel in FNT by a reasonable time and got 6 hours in the hotel then 40 minutes back, home by 8:30

That's not the kind of flying the proposed language in the TA would permit.

It's Hyatt Legal Services. Division of MetLife. The MetLife connection is how Delta people qualify.
You can find the info on the DeltaNet under Employee Info / Delta Perks / Insurance / Legal Services.

It is a great deal. You get a will for absolutely free. Everyone should have a will.

One caveat: I wouldn't go through them if you have some highly complex estate planning you are trying to do. They are great at the basics but if you have trusts or generation skipping bequests or a QDRO that binds a defined benefit pension or anything like that then you probably already have a lawyer anyway.

Here ya go. It was posted previously in the thread, what, you didn't read all 168,000+ posts? :D

I think will service is free. Look on Deltanet.

One addition. Somebody later in the discussion mentioned that Hyatt legal services even set up a trust for them as part of the deal. That makes it an even better bargain. Lawyers charge big bucks to set up trusts. Getting one done for free is awesome.

The trust is not included, but if the will is free, paying for just the trust is a good deal.

Were you guys able to get living revocable trusts thru Hyatt? I see that they offer a testament trust in their literature, which is not the same thing. I'll give them a call, but I was wondering what your experience was.

Just for your info. A few years ago, we set up an irrevocable trust . IT cost us around $1500. I have heard people pay "free via Hyatt" and up to $6000.

My experience, there was a small but vocal group that wanted them...they would fly some and through various methods drop the others for pickup...or typically to the Rsv.
