Again, all of you have been spot on in regards to answering the most random questions that I would not know who else to ask. 2 completely random questions.

First, in the PBS Bid Packet Award, I open up October and I see different colors for different days. Some people have the colors on certain days and others don't. I can figure out that Gray is vacation or Mil. Leave. A line holder has two different colors blue and purple which I am wondering someone could explain and a reserve holder has two different colors yellow and magenta. Anybody know the meaning of the colors?

Second question, I am trying to personal drop a day on Icrew. I filled in the blanks and I get an error message that says "Please use PF keys" and the curser reverts to the following line like I filled in the date wrong.
31Aug14 Cancel as of 23:59 on (ddmmm)

As you say, the gray means some sort of absence, e.g., vacation, MLOA, etc.

The purple for a line holder means a coverage award -- a trip on a certain set of days on which he and everyone junior to him must fly because of the number of trips left at his seniority on those dates. The light blue are the trips that he was awarded afterward in the normal trip award process.

Similarly for a reserve, the magenta means a coverage award of an on-call day, and the yellow is a normal award.

After you fill in the personal drop form, select F12 = Save. It sounds as though you may have selected OK instead.

Oh I think the Ravens are in a thug category all their own.

Since we are on the subject of PBS awards, do you guys know what the little + sign mean at the end of some awarded rotations?

It is amazing to watch this and consider where we are today.

Last year we produced over 90% of our own energy needs. IMO we are in a 10 to 15 year up cycle. The United States is now, more than ever a safe haven.

Being able to be energy independent is a game changer and none of us can imagine all the upside. Not only independent, but a major exporter.

Hundreds of billions in manufacturing moving to the U.S. for our cheap natural gas from Europe, South Africa, etc.

Exciting times.

IF we allow it to manifest though. That's the fulcrum here. We easily could of course, but there are a lot of real world big money interests, many of them among us, with a lot to lose if it happens. Just look at the roadblocks for ANWAR, the pipeline and federal land rights. What's going on in the Dakotas is a drop in the bucket compared to unleashing our full potential, but one side of the isle blocks as much as they can by any means necessary, and the other side of the isle always wants to send us to another trillion dollar unfunded war to protect the corrupt arrangements we have in the ME.

We're basically painted into a corner of false choices. Do it their way either because we "can't wait for the mushroom cloud" or because it will be the end of the environment and the animated polar bears won't have ice to hang onto. There is a lot of money and power out there that doesn't want what you pointed out to come to fruition. Lots of foreign and domestic enemies alike.

Batting average adjusted for inflation. Love it. Almost got a fist pump out of me, but then I started to get the vibe that the Phantom was being sympathetic to the management POV against something like that. I like the Phantom though. A lot. So I'm confused.

In any case, we should be going into the Olympics with an NBA Dream Team relative to the timing, off the charts record profits, favorable comparison to other groups who are all at or above their pre BK pay except us, a huge slam dunk grievance from the JV, a positive pilot leverage trend in general and other things.

So why does it feel like we might get beat by Serbia or something?

Thx. Spot on in regards to selecting OK instead of pressing F12
