My comment was referencing CDOs' puzzling (and overwhelmingly rejected) appearance in the 117 LOA.

As I mentioned in another thread. CDOs require fewer pilots; they reduce manning! They are a concession. Why on earth would we want that?

I don't want CDO's. Don't like the concept a bit however I doubt the above statement is true. CDO's as structured in the previous agreement would have a very high credit factor. The company gave them up without even a whimper because they saw no great value in having them.
If you want to save jobs as mentioned training and vacation need to become pay and credit. That would be huge.

Our PWA is the sum of numerous QOL, pay, and productivity sections. No one section is so important that the others do not require focused attention. That was a big part of the survey - to prioritize.

What really bothered me about the CDO question, besides the fact it appears to be an MEC Admin inserted question is the specificity of the questions - they read like specific contract language as opposed to more broad goal objectives on the other questions. It's as if they are taking the very specific language that was shot down - by the majority of the MEC from the previous LOA - and asking what we would need to sharpshoot it to make it something you desire.

Everyone needs to pay attention to this - we are being setup, similar to the age 65 strategy, to have this included in the TA. What's more telling is, despite hard proof to the contrary - from the MEC Chairman himself - it is not due to an obscure LEC resolution that was defeated 7 months ago, nor due to the unscientific, self-selection biased survey by the DPA, that back channel scapegoating for CDO language in our TA has already begun

PS: Scope, and JV language was my #1 priority within priority #1 on the survey. Also said hell no to CDO's in any form.

This place isn't remotely a barometer of the feelings of the pilot group. This place is the 3rd standard deviation at best... on both sides.... We all talk about whatever is blowing in the wind at any given moment, and for right now it happens to be CDOs... again.

For the purposes of this article "Big Order" = 50 airplanes. Who knows when they will show up. Also, these could just be replacing the ones going away.

The fact that this order seems to keep moving to later in the year tells me that it will be a part of our C2015 contract, i.e., we'll order not just 50 WB's but 100 WB's if the pilots agree to the company's early C2015 offer.
