I don't think it has to be either/or.

SLC is a good hub and a good enough market to strive to stay dominant in. I think we'll stay, although flights per day will likely decrease as more of the "feed" will come from larger planes from other hubs rather than direct hourly service from 50 seaters. But mainline seats/departures should stay relatively similar.

Yep. Brazilias are gone in 2nd Q 2015. SkyWest 50 seaters I think will be gone sometime 2016. Rumors are floating around that CPZ will open a SLC base as the "upguaging" there continues. Smallest DCI airplane in SLC will be the 2 class CRJ-700.

I also heard from a reliable source that there is a possibility of adding another bank in SLC. That depends on cutting block times back by an average of 8 minutes to fit the extra bank in. We may also see a SLC-LHR flight with the Virgin JV. Didn't specify if it would be a DAL flight or a Virgin flight.

Try Puyallup. Lot's of guys lived there when I was based at TCM. But that was 30 years ago....

Crew Meals

Does anyone else think its lame that domestically we only get meals above a 5:30 Block? Showing up at the gate 1 hour prior on a 4-5 hour block can often lead to 6-7 hours without a meal.

Here we are as a company making a great profit - partially due to the sacrifices and concessions made by this Pilot group. Obviously we expect a restoration in regards to pay but what about some simple QOL items like a hot meal if they are being served to Business class?

I believe our MEC Chairman said something about "The best Contract." Well American guys get meals and I believe they kept their meals even through the BK. I think it is quite reasonable to expect a meal if it is already being provided for the business class passengers. Hell they are already loading 12-24 meals why not just load 2 more.

I realize that some Pilots do not like the crew meals and would prefer to bring/purchase food and that is fine but we should have the option of a hot meal if one is already being served to our passengers.

Looks like it could be an Oregon-Bama final. Anyone know when that game will be? Do I have to adjust my Jan bids or is it in Feb?

Thanks! I'll go fix my bids now! I'll miss round 1 as I'll be in Dubai on Jan.1, but Hopefully I'll be able to hold the 12th off, that's a Monday night according to my Jan calendar.

Totally agree 100%. Just had back to back 8:45 block 13 hour duty days and there is no time to eat.

With all due respect, make time to eat. I don't fly hungry and I don't chase airplanes.
