Completely agree. The order is going to be a part of the 2015 package. I halfway thought about this back when we signed a 3 year deal on the last contract. They knew then the widebody order would be lining up right on time for this contract.
I think we should take a 10% pay cut if the company promises they will buy 100 777s. We don't need any time frame, or any penalties if they don't do so. Just think of all the movement that will occur.... and since bigger pays more, it is a win win deal. |

If these routes do well, then we'll see the 717 LA base all of us west coasters would like to see.

A barometer of the 20 or so people that comment on here. 20/12083 * 100 = .165% so if it were up to 30 people commenting on here then 30/12083 * 100 = .248%. Don't even know what kind of drop that is in some size bucket.
So you have a larger sample size here, so you can use this group here to figure out how the next contract will go. You just have to weight it. I'll explain, if you take all of the pilots who post here, take into account their C2012 votes and the actual votes, grab the nearest sextant and MDM and ask yourself did the NC reach a TA? Pass. |

So how will it be structured? Will we have as a part of our contract the requirement for the company to buy airplanes within XX amount of time? Or will we take a smaller pay increase with the company's promise to buy more airplanes within XX amount of time? Or maybe... just maybe...

Last time, we gave up more large RJs - 325 total allowed. What was plan B anyways? All I know is "we didn't want to go there." Am I really to believe we [Delta] would have refurbished 50 seaters in lieu of purchasing the 717s?

When the average polling company did a Presidential poll in 2012 they would use a sample size of 2500 voters to determine what 220 million eligible voters would do. So it's a .000011 is considered a large sample.

Not at all. Plan B was to buy a smaller number of A319s that were coming off of a lease to Ryanair.
And why wasn't that communicated during the C12 sales job? |
APD questions: If a single day APD request is submitted that touches a multi-day trip, is the entire trip dropped? If so, does submitting the APD on the only day that has more reserves available than required improve the likelihood of getting the APD approved?
Disclaimer: not willing to attempt the differential equation in the Reserves Required section of the PWA. |
