Yup, I was doing it wrong... Interesting how they're already below the required reserve numbers for late December.

Thanks for the info!

Even if Delta were looking at used 777's, Boeing's role in ongoing certification and support would likely mean it would be on Mr. Hamilton's radar if it were likely.

I'm a Boeing guy ... but here is the 330 sales pitch.

I can't help but think the special MEC meeting today will be dealing with whatever the new AC is. There are a lot of them out there today for which we have no pay rates...

It does make sense to go with the 330NEO, if only from a commonality standpoint, and that doesn't include the engines, of course. It sounds like we are looking for direct replacements for the 7ERs, but I guess the elephant (or whale) in the room is what's going to replace the 747's? Or are we going to downgage a lot of that service onto existing 777's and 330-300's (or -900's if they are the NEO)? We should have our answer soon. Certainly the recent developments in the Japanese economy would point towards a non Tokyo based Asia operation. I've heard from fairly good sources that the plan is to get a JV with Korean Air and eventually someone in China. We'd only need to fly to their hubs then and wouldn't need the range or the payload of anything bigger than a 330, and we could move all the cargo on their big widebodies.

Where does one bid the Golden X days?
Thanks

I think one of our Reps mentioned the agenda was Virgin JV negotiations and Contract 2015 Survey Results. If a new type is announced in subsequent months I'd imagine we will have plenty of time to negotiate a pay rate.

iCrew --> Bids ---> Initial Bid ---> PBS Reserve Golden Day Bids

They make it so easy to find stuff...

Thanks. I'm sure I saw that sometime last year when not needed.

You can if they decide to allow them. The contract says that "APD's MAY be denied regardless of coverage over the major holidays listed". I'm not sure at what level of coverage they don't allow APD's, but I've used the APD twice to drop days over Christmas.

Are schedules in DBMS yet? (Translation... Am I the only one who's schedule is not in DBMS yet?)

Hmm. So it looks like Dec 11th now. 25 A350's for the Pacific and 25 330neo's for the Atlantic. None of which will start showing up until 2017. With the common 330/350 type rating it seems to me it would be smarter to go with an all Airbus order on this one.
