Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Remember too that if you have a disaster and have huge hospital bills that you can set up payment plans with the hospital. I did so with Children's hospital. Did a twelve month no interest.
Before that was over though I got another 12 mo no interest for the other kid.
Then when one of those was done we got another for the previous kid.
And then one more.
We had a lot of medical bills. A lot. Had it been 40 years ago we would have probably lost both so it was worth every penny.

There is much rejoicing in the Airbus Fleet Offices today!!!
That's how it works, pretty much. As soon as your OE is finished and you get the OK (or whatever it was) on your schedule, you'll be on reserve. As for pay, there will be a gap between the salary and the reserve pay, so expect a paycheck in the $100-$500 range. It will catch up the next month.

I finish in December and was given 17 days of reserve, most of which overlap my OE. Assuming 2/3 of the month was OE and 1/3 is not, would it be a correct statement that all my reserve during OE will be dropped and I'll have to sit whatever reserve doesn't overlap? In addition, for pay purposes I'll get a prorated 2/3 basic pilot salary + 1/3 reserve guarantee?
I'll only add that if you end up doing OE on X days, they will return those days off to you in the form of PB days.
If you have remaining RES days in the month, they will automatically place the PB days on your subsequent RES days. If you don't have any more RES days in the month, the PB days go in the bank for later use (whole 'nother topic)

PilotWife2,
Are you familiar with angrypilotwife ?
Whoever she is, she is a great writer. Her articles are much more entertaining that the typical flight crew member's kiss and tell book.*
(Buzz excepted, he had something to write about)

I'm trying to drop some specific trips and pick up from open time using dates/trip-length wildcards. I'm finding when I ask for specific rotations in open time, they tend to disappear before the run gets to me so I'm going to try the wildcards.
If I enter preferences under "PCS>Standing Request Qualifiers," such as "no report before," do those preferences apply to my blind swap pickup requests, or are they only for WS, GS, etc?

June new hire on 320 in NYC who got off reserve this month--followed advice here and asked for APD or PD to drop Christmas trip and got awarded APD today. Still have to work Thanksgiving and New Years but psyched to have one good deal.
