Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I just called both my Senators and Congressmen. All 3 calls were answered on the 1st ring by an actual person. In introduced myself as a Delta pilot and asked if they were familiar with the Deny NAI campaign. All 3 said yes and that they were on board to Deny NAI. I thanked them and asked them to keep up the fight. Sent the emails and did 3 phone calls and it all took less than 10 minutes. Please everyone do the same. It's easy to blow it off but now is the time to act.

I need pants. I have heard Kohl's, but I went there today and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions?
I just ordered a few from A Cut Above. They have nice comfort band around the neck. Other places to order would be Abbots, Crew Outfitters, and M&H.

Here's where I'm at. I am personally offended that DALPA cultivates such a cozy relationship with the company at our expense, and for whatever reason, is unable or unwilling to strike an aggressive stance--even when the company steamrolls us. (SD memo after FAR 117, AF/KLM JV, etc.)
I also take it personally when DALPA and/or company operatives (who may or may not be on FPL while posting here) do everything they can to convince us we ought to be happy with "marginal" gains in this negotiating environment. Why would "our" "union" want to do that? It doesn't compute for me.
I firmly believe those guys are taking food out of my kids' mouths. I simply cannot fathom why we are paying huge money to an organization where line pilots are nowhere near a top priority, and where our money is badly wasted on epicurean delights for connected ALPA bureaucrats. Why does the BoD meeting need to be in a Florida Westin? Why is our money being spent on booze? Did you see that DALPA spent more than $280,000 on "neckties?" How are folks OK with that?
So I will continue to call out the expectation managers, apologists, and everyone else who tries to take money out of our pockets; politely when possible, and aggressively when necessary. I refuse to let the entrenched ALPA crowd set the agenda and frame the issues.

Planning to go with the heavier-weight fabric Van Heusen Commander next time. Unfortunately they don't have a tapered cut as far as I can find, but that's what a mil tuck is for, right?

You have called me out personally more than once for this reason. May I ask why you have never called out those "mudslingers" who happen to tote the DALPA/company line?

I know this next part is one of your favorite punching bags, but try getting involved. There are plenty of ways to get involved with ALPA (your career/future) that are of a non-political nature. I had similar trust issues to yours right around the merger, and decided to get involved with some of the feel good ALPA stuff where you get to see the direct connection between your actions and a problem being solved for a pilot. I'm sure you'll come up with a witty rebuttal to blow off this suggestion, but it would do you a lot of good to see the "lot of good" being done on a daily basis by your fellow pilots.
Who knows, maybe you could be part of the solution that you seek. You seem to have a lot of answers, so why don't you help fix what you see to be a problem? And don't give me any BS about "the entrenched", "the establishment" yadayadayada.
