NEW HIRE! :D
I'm about to start 3rd year pay and I think my Captains wonder if I'm still on probation. I got my 1 year pin, 5 year pin, and got off of probation all on the same day. It only took me from 1/8/01 to 5/?/06 to get off of probation. |

I used to fly for a -200F operator. Freight can make a lot of money, if you do it right.
I always expected NWA to buy B787s or B777s, convert all the B747-400s to B747-400BCFs, and replace the -200s with them. Some of NWA's -400s are almost 20 years old, perfect candidates for freighter operations. Just curious as I have always been one to think you can carry passengers really well or carry freight really well but never the two shall meet. I look at United's attempt at a Freighter operation and UPS's charter flight ops on weekends as examples on both sides. I admit I don't know all the ins and outs or politics involved in those two examples. But United only lasted a few years and UPS just seemed to disappear from the market. Again, just my own laymen's view and want to find some more clarity into the subject and learn more about viability. Thanks. Burn Notice |

To quote a public source, Ax stated in their CP newsletter last summer, that they would be basing the 765 there this next summer.

The question is how many ATL 400 guys would follow the money to the NYC and how many senior ER guys would make the switch.

Moak has used up all his freebies. No more secret deals will be tolerated. I think there will be an angry mob of pilots with pitchforks and rope outside the MEC offices if he comes out with some agreement that helps management restrict pilot's rights due to AEs after SOC. |

That has been my thought for a few years, it just makes too much sense not too!
Add to it, that DAL is spending a lot of cash very quietly on a cargo op and IT functionality out in LAX. (I have been told it is dedicated cargo, and I asked why we would spend that on a belly cargo op, and I got the dumb look) Carl |
