I always expected NWA to buy B787s or B777s, convert all the B747-400s to B747-400BCFs, and replace the -200s with them. Some of NWA's -400s are almost 20 years old, perfect candidates for freighter operations.

Would we ever do a 747-400BCF (boeing converted freighter)? Since the 747-400 didn't fall out of the 5 year plan like it was rumored it would then how about just putting it in the 10 year plan with a conversion?

Noone likes the rat. The first point is that the intended audience doesn't like it either, so you need to look beyond how it makes you feel.

Let's not forget that we are, each of us, one of 12,000 assets that the company relies on the conduct business. A pilot that can't stomach union tactics is like a dog that won't bear it's teeth when pushed beyond the threshold: it'll only get invite more abuse. Or, if it's lucky and whimpers enough, it'll get "promoted" to lap-dog status, and pee the rug when it overflows with gratitude from receiving the occasional pat on the head.
