New, I had edited my post too much. I went to go find a picture of the 9s in the desert to say pull them out but I had trouble finding pictures so I found these 732s. So I said while you're pulling the 9s out go ahead and pull these out and then edited it again. I hit the edit button too much.

I'll take the 9s and 732s. The more the merrier! Just get them out of the dessert, a free DC-9 is cheaper than any DCI plane!!

Even I can do that math.

We think alike. I don't care what kind of plan it is, just as long as DAL pilots are flying them. (The alternative attitude was our first mistake when the rj's came on the scene.)

I would fit right into HNL.

How does the PBS bidding software behave when all the senior pilots bid reserve?:D

Ahohaaaah....

That it is. My screen name comes from the old NWA takeoff roll callout on the -30 models.

Yes! My absolute best years flying were as a DC-10 FO in MSP and DTW. The only way it could have gotten better is if I would have been based in HNL.

That is all I am saying. There is some chatter out there because of the a/c size that is needed for LGA that a deal MAY be in the works for a near-term fix for a 100 seat jet.
IMHO the company does not want to stick a E-Series jets here, even the 195 as it is not something that will be around for 10+ years. It would be a patch until the C-Series actually flies, and because of that, they MAY want to have it flown at CPS.
Point is that, as I look over the horizon and connect the dots, this MAY be something that the company MAY ask for and in return we will get an order for a lot of 100 seat jets, with penalties if they cancel it. Point is that it would be allowing outsourcing of flying on a short term basis.

Now I could be off my rocker, but I just wanted to share what MIGHT be a possible answer or solution that some MAY be looking at.
I have heard it as a good rumor and thought I would connect some of the dots and pass it along. That is what this board is for!

This is the scenario I have feared since I've been here. I've written my Rep multiple times about this. Why wouldn't management try? Clearly they are stalling on 100 seat replacement aircraft for this exact reason. All Compass pilots are currently typed in the E170/190 series so they could just bring them on line, & save huge training costs in the long run. I fully expect them to bring this to the table. I just pray we don't crack. :(

I agree, as it makes sense for the company to try this. It could just be more 76 seat jets, but even the 76 seat jet does not fulfill the seat need.

I hope that the current reps know that if this scenario is even remotely possible that it would be career suicide.

I'm hoping the reps have already committed suicide. OH, I mean career suicide, not carrier suicide, not..., well never mind.

I haven't has time to catch up on the backlogged pages here but I just finished some training and the instructor was somewhat in the know. He stated that if the FAA implements the rest rules as stated it means we are 1,800 pilots short. I am scared to death that DALPA will not protect our quality of life (QOL) and we will all be working 24 days a month to get 80 hrs. Chime in now boys and girls to your reps. I for one will not take another QOL hit.

We've got 2 years to the amendable date of our contract. Let the hormones flow so we can grow some. If we fail now, it's over for the foreseeable future. We need AA on the same page and from what I can see they are. UAUA, well we'll see. Add it up and you'll see that $5 a ticket can make a huge improvement on our QOL. I mean Yugo to Mercedes difference, or Community College to USC difference for your kids. It's time people...no, the time has passed...tell your reps that we want to be treated and compensated for the liability and accountability we encumber every day.

Now I get to play the deadhead from training game.

Cheers all,

BD
