Delta Cargo now accepting cargo in single operating system November 9, 2009On Sunday, Delta Cargo began accepting cargo in a single operating system, the largest single milestone for the integration of Delta Cargo operations. NWA Cargo has been retired and Delta Cargo is now prepared for inventory cutover and the transition to a single operating certificate. Starting Monday, calls to 800-DLCARGO are being routed to the Delta Cargo call centers in Atlanta and Minneapolis based on agent availability. Because some customers will continue to call 800-NWCARGO, the number will remain in operation temporarily so that customers enjoy continuity of service. “No matter where the call comes from or what number the customer has called, agents in both Atlanta and Minneapolis are delivering premier service as they respond to our cargo customers’ needs,” said Neel Shah, v.p.- Delta Cargo. “Agents globally have been trained and briefed on new policies and procedures. Worldwide, customers have been experiencing a smooth transition.” Employees throughout the system have been preparing for the cutover through multiple training courses to ensure customers will experience no service interruptions. Cargo Revenue Management, Product Development, eCommerce, Claims, Information Technology, and Operations worked closely with Corporate Credit, the Operations Control Center, Airport Customer Service, and other groups to ensure that the needs of employees and customers were met throughout the transition. Employees across the company also will benefit from the changes. Employees of Delta and Delta’s wholly owned Delta Connection subsidiaries with at least one year of service will enjoy a 90% discount on freight charges for shipments carried within the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sure glad there's no money in freight. OTOH, who knows...maybe an order for 777Fs is right around the corner. Wouldn't that turn the old merger dispute committee blender on "Frappe". Nu |

Nu Let's pick out some cooler color choices this time instead of red, green, and blue. "So are you mauve book or burnt sienna?" |

Yeah, but there's also an argument for the chaos theory. Try to implement as much change as you can, as fast as you can, before the proletariat figures out that they're not happy. Think Obama.

"So are you mauve book or burnt sienna?" Too bad it has to be that way, instead of just "Delta pilot"... Nu |

As for MSP/DTW, I have a very nice house all picked out on Lake Minnetonka right next to Dougie's! Lake Minnetonka Online - the best of Lake Minnetonka since 1996! Make cruise reservations, rent a boat, locate fine dining and outdoor dining, discover events, shopping venues and community and real estate information about the cities of Wayzata, Exc If you are about to be displaced to MSP (and there are MUCH worse places to go, especially if you can man up to the cold), check out edinarealty.com for almost all the listings in the area. PM for more info, I've lived here for 29 years. |

There are some fantastic deals in the Lk. Minnetonka area right now. I'm a CPS FO (read: crap pay) and my wife and I are even looking out there right now. Like 50%+ discount on new construction houses.
