That tells you it becomes expensive at $60, but is still profitable or they would cut back more than 25%. I'd imagine the big guys (Hess, Continental, Conoco, Whiting) will cut back slightly in the Bakken if the prices stay down. The small guys up there (QEP, Newfield, Halcon) will pack up and leave.

In any case if prices stay low you will see the domestic U.S. shale producers cut back. How much is the big question nobody really knows.

Cutting back on production and future capacity infrastructure to save capital during a soft market is fine. The genie is out of the bottle now and the ability to ramp up production on short notice and continue slowly investing in future infrastructure will never go away. The best thing we can have is a strong system of domestic production that produces a lot now and can ramp up quickly later. Whatever the cost is to extract and get it to market, its only going to get cheaper and easier as technology never stops.

We brought them to their knees using a tiny fraction of our ability to produce. There is nothing they can do now to reverse it.

Speaking of the surface, is there any way to increase the length of time before it requires a password when you turn the screen on again? It seems like the default is extremely quick like 5-10 minutes. Just when you need it you have to enter the strong password with capital and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.

If you have Jeppesen app open, you can inhibit sleep mode. Doesn't do anything for you if you put it in standby then try to open it back up, but it will keep it from sleeping automatically. FWIW, I've used the think on a couple of Mad-Dog 12 hour duty days, leaving the screen on from block out to block in and still had plenty of battery left at the end of the day.

They are going to fix this....The first of many necessary fixes!

Man when the suction cups give way on the Surface Pro 2 contraption... ouch.

ftb and other 717 drivers, I've found that when the side window is cold the mount doesn't stick very well. I turn on the defog switch for a few minutes to warm up the window and then attach the mount. It seems to work a little better (with a lot less spit!!!)

I bid as many of these trips as possible. On the front end you can book your DH 14 days prior. You do it via travelnet using the company business travel menu. RJ's can be booked.
On the back end you go into Icrew and then the non rev section. There is a sub menu I think under DH that will rebook your flight home. You can only make that booking after signing in for the trip. Again no issues with RJ's. The rebooking on the backend is not notification you will deviate. You still have to call crew scheds. Why I don't know.
This is the important part. 24 hours prior you can change your seat to anything in coach. The first row of Economy comfort is the best. Almost as good as first on the mainline. I usually check in and make the seat change at the same time. In addition make sure you select the upgrade option to first or it won't happen.

Scambo,
Just to add one thing to Sailing's post, when deviating on the backend you can notify Scheduling via the automated VRU menu without speaking to a scheduler. After your last flying leg, call the VRU and select option 5 from the main menu "for off rotation deadheading." The response will indicate that scheduling/tracking has been notified.

Since, for example there was a spirited political discussion from pages 17325 thru 17332, maybe it would be best to remove the aforementioned ban of political speak from the TOS.

And Buzz, I'm not the least bit naive, thank you for your concern ... but it is sort of humorous that you and Knew (two of the most political guys here) pile on to this.

Anyway, I get it... Obama sucks, Obama is great... awe, never mind. :(

P.s., Pop quiz:

Q: When is it ok to violate the TOS?

A: When it occurs on the Delta L & G thread! :p

P.p.s., Since I'm not one of the anointed 12 or so, I'll go back to lurk mode... actually, this is the perfect opportunity to kick my APC habit! :D

Consider the dead horse beaten.

The max I could set it at was 15. I'd love to know a better way...
