Brilliant. Thanks APC geniuses! So, I wonder why the MSP 777 base and no LAX 777 base? Maybe it's a sign of more 777's in the works?
bwaaaaaaa haaaaaaaa haaaaaaaa um.... bwaaaaaa haaaaa haaaaaaa seriously.. Love ya... mean it. Where's a good horse laugh gif when I need one? Did I mention I am skeptical about 777s? |

Yes. Don't get me wrong, bring on the new bases! But this really goes against all Crew Resources has been saying for literally years. Must be another shoe gonna drop...
I still stand by my original rumor of 10 used 777s. I know it is being looked at. Whether the trigger is pulled is the question. I hope it is. |

Just a guess, but MSP is one hour shorter on the great circle route to asia than DTW, 2.5 hours shorter than ATL. MSP has a bunch of fortune 500 companies. It might be a way to build a market that was probably already built once...Just a guess.
Europe is improving, but the increase in passenger miles isn't helping resolve the issue of too many carriers chasing passengers for business. |

With a great deal of new network flying to Europe and carriers there adding capacity, it would not surprise me to see us try to find more lucrative revenue streams from Asia and Africa.

Why is that hard to swallow? I was a 91 hire, and we stopped in 92. A 96 hire is not that much junior to me, why should this be any different? 1 airline hired during that period, 1 didn't. It was a fair integration, and the biggest mistake was putting up the fences that he did. No one got protected there.

Would you bid them all as equivalent aircraft? The Delta/NWA merger, for the most part, ignored the differences in our pre-merger fleets, as FTB's chart very clearly shows. Had we integrated by category status we might have never found "peace." I believe this was a consideration in treating the NWA and Delta fleets as equivalents (with the exception of the 747 and 777). We have an excellent group on our merger committee and if called on to serve I have no doubt they will put forward the best position for our pilot group. AK and HA are second tier. My saying this is not out of arrogance, but of truth. If you take a historical snapshot, you will see that many of their pilots had their apps in at NWA or DL. I will give you two or three names at least that will verify this. If we are buying, they should be stapled. Greedy on my part. However, in reality, it is for my brothers. Im set, dont need the $$ or seniority. Dont sell yourself short. You work for a TOP TIER AIRLINE. Respectfully always, TEN |

Respectfully always, TEN I do not disagree with your sentiments and these points will be made by our merger committee should a merger ever happen. Just realize both sides in our merger made similar statements about our Companies and the net result of those statements was exactly nothing. If we buy Hawaiian, we are doing it at 300% of the price I thought we should have executed at. If it is a deal now, just think what a deal it must have been when I bought the stock around $5.00 a share. I currently have no position in HA stock, or DAL. |
