Sorry for the ignorance, but what are "E periods?"

Delta has 5 sim periods/day, with E period briefing at 2220 and box time from 2350-0350

2 cents, I also heard around the training center:
DCI is not delivering the schedule
"717 and 737 deliveries are accelerating"
A330 fleet is to expect new hires with NYC cats opening
E periods on M88
E periods on 737, LAX dudes only
MIA location for 320 starting Spring

Just to clarify, they are expecting NYC 330B to go down to new hires? If so I'll believe that when I see it.

Your advice of using a PD is pathetically out-of-touch with reality. On narrow body fleets (except for maybe the new 717 category in NY), it's impossible to use a PD on the weekends, and nearly so to use one 3-4 days in advance.

Not once did I ever make that statement. (Unlike your incredibly tasteless comments you posted about my wife) I also never heard Dalpa make that statement. If you have something where they said that publish it. What was pointed out is the reason the company wanted it. Long trips were difficult to cover with reserves. In some international categories there were trips no reserve could cover from day one in a month. In all categories both domestic and international long trips could be problematic near the end of the month. The Delta reserve system did not adapt well to the long domestic and international trips NW brought to the mix. That was why the company wanted ALV15. We were unwilling to give that up without offsets. We got those offsets by reducing when a reserve was full for any known absences and reducing when a reserve was full to the reserve guarantee from ALV. So far it looks like we got the better end of the deal. Known absentses has turned out to be huge. Keep in mind that ALV15 is only a factor in the rare times the company puts a pilot over ALV and the pilot would not have yellow highed to go over ALV to fill up.

When the 767-400 opened in NY it went pretty junior. That was however in part because the initial flying was expected to be all London and not worth much.

On a unrelated note to the terrible working conditions at Delta if anyone has any Christian Eagle experience PM me!

I can't see the 330 being any less junior than the 765 in NY. That's 2000+ from the bottom

I agree. There is no way the 330 will go to newhires.

We might get there in a few years when deliveries are in full swing and retirements are 400+ per year.

I have a moderate amount of Pitts S2B time. Every landing is an adventure, which is the fun part. Noisy as hell. Made to do acro, anything else is a waste.

I recommend a respected acro school for both spins and landings. Helps with the confidence level!

Anyone had issues with withdrawing bank time. I'm below the withdraw limit of -30, had no GS's, and get an insufficient time available message. Odd.

I agree, you have to have 15 years ish to get on the 330 in today's number. I find it hard to believe it will get to new hires.
