Damn PCS. Got a trip that blocks in at 2338. Trip ends at 0008 thus making it uncommutable. I put avoid trips with later than 2130 check out. Feel like I was screwed by a loophole.

You weren't screwed by a loophole, you got an "early release," no?

Try putting in:

avoid trips that checkout between 2130 and 0230

Why do you think I remember this ;-)

Is there a way on icrew to see what flight an aircraft tail number went out on after your last flight on it? I left my sunglasses and was hoping I might contact the follow on FO in case he found them. It's a longshot, I know--a cleaner is wearing them on ramp 4.

Alternatively to what was mentioned above: you can go on flightaware.com and where you would type in a flight number, just type in N123DL etc. right there and it will give you all the flights that that airplane is flying.

Quick question...I've always put 100% of profit sharing in the 401k. If I want to continue doing that, do I have to re specify it or will it be automatically 100% again this year?

You have to fill it out again. Go to the Fidelity 401k site (the Deltanet link sends you to the same page) and select 'contributions' and you will find that the Profit Sharing contribution is currently preset at zero. You can populate it with whatever percentage you want.

Lax 37N

Hi everybody. Looking to try and get out west in a 73N when able to x-fer as a new hire. Anybody have an idea of the trip schedule for 73N out of LAX?

You can go in iCew and look at their bid package and see all their trips, you can also go to the bid awards and see what trips the most senior guys are flying, and what the most junior guys are being stuck with.

do you like flying at night?
do you like gate holdouts?

Just kidding, but its been true traditionally, LAX flies the bulk of the red eyes in the fleet.
The trip mix is getting more diverse lately.
More 5-day trips some uncommutable

More LATAM flying, T5 customs closes at 1:30 so there's always the excitement of a free bus ride and the unforgettable customs-in-Bradley experience with the included exercise program "walk to the bus."

LAX 73N is going junior again and some are getting it in class. If you can't get LAX in class bid the 73N anywhere and slip in when able, instead of waiting for an AE with posted openings in LA.

Good Luck

Cheers

okay rant over.

The first person who screws up this good deal loses a testicle!

Do these new rules apply to flight attendants too?

We're screwed!

No. And it needs to stay that way. You want to fly out of my base? Bid it. Rant over.
